Saints Row IV was announced today and will releas in North America on August 20, 2013 and August 23rd worldwide.
Take note that this date is 5 weeks prior to the release of Grand Theft Auto V, meaning that Deep Silver and Volition are indeed going for blood against GTA in open-world crime sandbox. It may not be a great idea to pitch Saints Row against GTA compared between the sales against the two, considering how huge of a franchise GTA is. Let's take a look at why.
GTA V Enhanced has been updated on PC with improved ray tracing features. Read ahead to learn how it compares with the original version.
Take-Two announced its financial results for the fiscal year 2025, also sharing an update on the sales of GTA5 and Red Dead Redemption 2.
The anticipation for GTA6 has reached fever pitch, with the latest trailer being the biggest video launch of all time.
Milk...get your milk...and so much more. Really when you release the same games in three editions over 15 years it's amazing how much money, and the amount of sales you earn. It's amazing how no one can compete.
No surprising considering that it’s been on every major platform and store.
I decided to look up the longest and most sold games list. To my surprise Tetris has takes the top spot.
A new Grand Theft Auto VI early comparison video highlights the massive jump in character detail, environments and more over its predecessor.
I mean, considering the amount of time between the two. It better be a massive upgrade. Especially with the amount of money Rockstar raked in from GTA Online.
So Saints Row "IV" shouldn't be released so close to GTA V because of sales numbers from previous titles? =/
People said the same thing about Battlefield 3, when it released ~2 weeks before Modern Warfare 3. Looking at numbers, Battlefield 3 has held its own and did a great job with its biggest competition.
The only way Saints Row "IV" will flunk is if the final game does indeed look as it did in the trailer because let's face it, we saw a trailer for Saints Row: The Third with an edit to show "IV" instead. It is everything that should of been in the third game, so numbers should be the least of anyone's worries as to why it is a bad idea to release close to GTA V.
Look at the time between releases. That alone tells you which one is going to outdo the other.Rockstar release quality, THQ and Volition were looking for quantity and it looks like Deep Silver are taking a page from the book of THQ and doing the same thing.
They only thing I'm going to say is it may be to early to release saints row 4 but maybe not maybe this one is better than saints row 3.as far as grand theft auto5 that is a stright winner hands down saints row has no chance against grand theft auto 5 they should've waited alittle longer for saints row 4.
I think it could be good, might be during an 'open world' craze that's yet to come or something. Might help boost sales, if they're all tightly packed together. I'm sure RPGs before the release of Skyrim and after it got more attention because of the hype for it.
Do you think they care? It was originally DLC and it is clear to see that it is just a ****** cash-in before the vastly superior GRAND THEFT AUTO V is released. Avoid this joke of a game.
as lazy as the developers are who make this game, they could probably release a game twice a year!! Saints row 2 to saints row 3 consisted of LITERALLY, the SAME vehicles, names models etc. Slight graphical upgrade but nothing new or really added to the cars inventory. Missions and mini games were almost like they were also ported from the previous game. Stores, clothing were all the same... It was such a let down. Will PASS on anything else from them. Clearly, they've peaked
