Gi - Dungeonland (PC) Review

Gi - Dungeonland is an interesting mash-up of hack ‘n slash and strategy genres. On one hand, gamers join up with other players (or computers) to combat waves and waves of enemies, using class-specific abilities to combat their way through each level. On the other hand, Dungeonland is an extremely multiplayer-focused game. To effectively survive through each level, teams really have to work together to combine talents in the most efficient manner. Whether that means using some healing spell or using a fire wall to knock-back enemies off of your allies, teamwork is vital to make your way from level to level.

SteamFirst: Dungeonland uses the traditional RPG conventions as much as it makes fun of them. Choosing either the slanky Rogue, the overweight Mage, or the sturdy Warrior, the trio cooperates in slaying bulky orcs, toon dragons, and tiny wizards. This isn’t your run-of-the-mill Torchlight or Diablo though; it all takes places in big theme parks for adventurers, where heroes’ lives are covered by deductible insurance and popcorn spills more than blood.

Paradox Interactive has announced a new “Free Admission Edition” of the cooperative action game Dungeonland.

Dungeonland has players entering a theme park where they must survive relentless hordes of friendly staff and stealing loot from gift shops. Available today the Free Admission Edition will allow players to experience the cruelty of Dungeonland, alongside up to three players – including a fourth player as the park’s devious Dungeon Maestro. New players to Dungeonland will now also be able to earn Steam Trading Cards
