A favorite pastime of video game writers is making lists of games that need sequels. It's a fun exercise to look back fondly on excellent games that ultimately hit dead ends, or were followed by dreary sequels that more or less destroyed the original game's mythology. It's becoming more and more difficult to make such lists because of the huge amount of sequels that are produced every year. If a game is a marginal hit, the odds are it will earn a sequel
Spook-A-boo is a silly ghost-hunting game where you and up to 3 friends explore different levels, hunting down ghosts in a game of hide-and-seek.
In Ratatan, groove-loving adventurers use the power of song and magical instruments to command armies of loyal Cobun companions.
The Drifter puts you in the boots of a man who dies before the opening credits roll, then gets a second chance to uncover why someone wanted him dead. With gritty pixel art and practical detective puzzles, it's less about inventory management and more about staying one step ahead of the people trying to kill you again
personally my list of games that need sequels include
Prince of Persia 2008-HUGE FREAKIN CLIFFHANGER
Beyond Good and Evil
Kya Dark Lineage
Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy
Darksiders 2(becuase i know the series is dead, i can still hope fury/strife)
psi-ops
Folklore
i never played jade empire, but from what ive heard its amazing, i would get it but i cant find an original Xbox anywhere.
Jade empire 2
Shenmue 3
The darkness III
Make these happen!
Bullet Witch 2. Bullet Witch was Bayonetta before Bayonetta. Not gameplay wise but similar ideas. It was more of a TPS than Hack and slash, but it was fun for a while. It's biggest issue was that it's an early 360 title that felt last gen.
Jak 4 from ND and ONLY ND. Yeah, I'm shitting a brick over TLoU like everyone else but come on. The team is large enough to make another classic. Sly 4 is good but I know Sucker Punch would have made it epic...
Final Fantasy VII
Chrono Cross
Tombi 2
Banjo Tooie
Beyond Good and Evil
Half Life 2
