That’s not what I’m saying at all.
Im referring to the weird conclusion you jumped to, which is that anyone who hasn’t played MGS3 by now took too long and are also weak for being bothered by spoilers this long after the original release.
Plenty of people without chest hair will try this remake as their first exposure to MGS3. It’s not somebody’s fault or weakness if they were born in 2010 and had better things to do than play MGS3 prior to this remake. The world doesn’t revolve around you

1. Its not the dislikes its many post's on this site and other's always the haters or like you mad about spoilers on old old games.
2. My youtube channel is older that most "gamers" today i lost alot of vids do too youtube bots and yourself has no proof even playing any of the games so go ahead post away on stuff you have no idea how to play.

Just remember while this game came out years ago, theres a whole generation f gamers who would have never played it. it wasn't current for them.
So the remasters are aimed at bringing in new fans of the franchise, posting these may spoil it for some.
The article literally has spoilers in it who the boss's kid is the eva relationship and entire series information you only get by playing the games.
Personally DMC3 is my favorite prequel. MGS3 is top 3 though next to Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep.

With Kojima gone, a lot is riding on Konami's revival of Metal Gear.
Not really, Konami is basically in name only and like so many other Japanese studios that have come and gone they are just going to be an IP troll and milk that cow until it is dry. Also one of the advertised features is playing the game from a different camera view while everything else remains the same will just result in making the game easier like what happened with Twin Snakes.
If this turns out good and gamers support it we will get the other ones.. i really hope we get MGS original in zanzibar, Peace Walker and Portable Ops remakes after this one.. they are related with naked snake

Konami might not be super active in the videogame business anymore, or less, but they still make a ton of money with their collections and pachinko machines.

When are people going to learn that all Konami is doing with these games Is licensing them out? They are not trying to revive their game development Branch and they are not the ones developing this. It is studios that came to them and asked to use the license to make a game and they have been doing this pretty much since MGSV
Remaking all his work reaks of desperation. The only reason they are getting away with it is everyones deep love for the series. If delta is successful (which as of right now it should be), they'll be sure to remake all of them.
Big shoes to fill, and compared to SH2 - this is as much a 1:1 remake as you can get. You can still see the PS2 bones in the movements and how the cutscenes have the same angles. If anything, I'd have preferred the reverse.... with SH2 being closer to a 1:1 remake but prettier, and have MGS3 have a little more freedom.
Ideally, MGS3 with a MGSV skin in terms of gameplay and freedom of approach. This is more like a high budget remaster than a remake. Having recently replayed the Bluepoint remaster, this is going to be like that same experience but even prettier.
But, as with both MGS3 and SH2, nearly impossible shoes to fill if not outright so. Damned if you do, damned if you don't. Such is the legacy of these GOAT titles.
It's a one to one remake, using the same voice recordings too. Not a reimagining, no new content thus far announced, just a straight remake of a game that already exists, but now with prettier graphics. There's no revival, they proved they can't make anything related to MG after Survival. They'll just remake all the games and people will eat it up.

The remnants of it initially being a co-op multiplayer game are clearly still there. Im guessing thats why it had such a huge tonal shift. Not to mention the complete butchering of the lore with that veil jumper, which makes no sense.

I thought Indiana Jones looked like garbage in the reveal trailer. But when I saw this most recent one, it actually looked like a really fun story to play through. Troy Bakre doing a really great job as usual. Sounds a lot like Indy. So I am looking forward to this game now.

Gonna disagree with the others, this isn't a good place to start since there are story threads that have more impact if you play the games in release date order. I can't go into further detail without spoilers.
Play MGS 1 and 2, they're short, amazing and well worth playing! Skip Twin Snakes if anyone tells you to play that one.
If you got a xbox kicking around or some loose change to get a used xbox one x get that and a copy of mgs hd version.
mgs hd collection is best played on a ps3 do too copy of mgs1 but the xbox version did get a bump with backwards compatibility support.
The worst version's are on steam and this copy of mgs3 was done 7? years ago for a pachinko machine

Kojima was using his team's fox engine to enhance the old games for a new collection.
Its really up to you as MGS3 is a self contained story in its own right but its like watching Star wars 1-3 before 4-6, you have a lot of "oh shit" moments if you play them in release order and when you get to MGS3 everything falls into place and its quite magical
imo play MGS master collection (after the add 4k60 support later this year) MGS1 & MGS2 and then play this remake of 3 for the full fun of it

Hideo and his team did all heavy lifting then they tossed it into that dam machine now we are getting it back on controller.
They said there using hd voices along with pachinko updates because david is still not going back to konami the rest of the cast same boat.
I swear it either everyone's brain turned off in 2020 or very few remember the horror stories from dev's of konami they killed so many ips 7th/8th gen. The mgs steam version's run worse than the ps3 versions there contra games run so bad your pc can blue screen.
There is also no keyboard mouse support

I really liked the Naked Snake vs Young Ocelot fight. I was especially surprised that he managed to learn a few things about CQC from the previous scuffles with Snake.
I Disagree, this game series is too epic to make a top 5. That is insult to the series. I mean what about the fight The End, theres more than one way to do it. What about MGS4 Vamp Vs Raiden, that was crazy epic. I mean what about the fight with Grey Fox and you cant shoot him. Basically there cant be 5 when every fight is epic.
