Spong: Rumour Bust: Dark Sector Never Going to be Canned on PS3

"Despite rumours to the contrary, SPOnG can confirm that darkSector never came close to being cancelled for the PS3. The rumours emerged following comments from darkSector’s producer, Josh Austin of Digital Extremes, who said of the game, "Towards the end we started having some serious conversations about what we were gonna do".

We contacted Josh for clarification and were told:

"The development of Dark Sector for the PlayStation 3 was challenging, but there was never any question that the game would ship on both systems. Dark Sector looks amazing and performs well on both the PS3 and Xbox 360 — we expect fans will be hard-pressed to find graphical or performance differences between either one."
