Square Enix Teases Final Fantasy VI: All the Bravest on New Website

It's hard to be excited for this when you think it's only an IOS game. I would really love to play this on the 3DS or the Vita (Not the PS1 version).

turn based RPG is one genre that dos not need physical controls, i look forward to this if it is a real remake and not just a port, FF6 is the best of series and the younger generation should experience what it was all about.

Performing Sabin's combos certainly requires some half decent button inputs (unless they come up with a way to use swipe symbols or something instead).

It NEEDS to be on 3ds and vita. The FFIV remake was brilliant on the DS.

Completely agree with you. As much as I like FFIV remake on the DS, I just don't feel like playing the iOS version at all, I stopped playing right outside the first city. I really hate touch screen virtual joysticks.

Same with FF Dimensions. If it was on 3DS or Vita, I would've finished it for sure. But on a smartphone, I just don't care about the game. I was thinking about buying The World Ends With You, but I know that if I buy it on iOS, I'll only play it for a couple of hours before I give up because of the touch controls.

Square-Enix, seriously, stop teasing iOS games and get back to what you announced years ago. Where's VersusXIII and FFXHD and Type-0 localization?

I agree, but they've been making more money on iOS/Android games. Given that they continuously keep releasing original games and ports for them rather than on consoles and 3DS/Vita. They also teased FFV for mobile and we've been waiting for a handheld remake for years.

Yeah, they do make more money, it's just irritating that they have these games that are guaranteed money and they are just sitting on them for Lightning Returns, FFXIV, and iOS games. I mean, I don't think they do market research because if they did, they'd have seen how many people just keep asking for VSXIII, Type-0 localization, and FFXHD. But given that they admitted to not listening to beta testers for the original version of FFXIV, I wouldn't be surprised if they all just collectively block their ears, close their eyes, and go "lalalalalalala" when asked about those games.

This console generation is seriously lacking in the JRPG department...no wild arms, no suikoden, persona...Lol I just want a better selection of JRPGs.

There is a movement on facebook about Suikoden that apparently got Konami's attention. They are asking mostly for Suikoden 2 on PSN, but they've also asked for a proper continuation of Suikoden (i.e. Suikoden VI) and Konami replied saying they have no announcements right now but to keep the communication going. But man, thank god for the Souls series or we'd be in SERIOUS trouble with the lack of JRPGS this gen.

It's almost as if they're afraid to take leaps. They found a sweet spot with iOS/Android and aren't budging. I think you're right though. They're sitting on games that could land them a lot more money. On top of the games we already know, I'm sure they could remake FFVII or give us FFXV that takes the series back to its roots; exploration, side-quests, great characters, great story, more FF lore, etc.

SE are stuck in the Wada/Toriyama phase right now. I really hope they move away from that. I would love another Final Fantasy Tactics type game, maybe done in the style of Valkyria Chronicles but obviously without the guns. Or another type of FFXII game but with some changes done to combat. Hell, dig deep and go way back to the class specific FF games. Just move past Lightning Returns for goodness sake.

its probably an IOS thing. I would love to see FFVI on 3DS or Vita. FFVI is my favorite in the series.

It is an IOS thing unfortunately... I got really excited for a bit there, thinking there could be a FFVI remake..... Then I looked at the bottom of the site, and saw that stupid GREE symbol for phones.......

Ugh, if they actually soil FFVI by porting it to or by creating a sequel for IOs I will for the first time lose a bit of respect for Square Enix.

"All the Bravest" sounds more like a Dissidia sort of deal though.

Maybe it's a classic rpg featuring characters and heroes from the franchise. That'd be awesome... so long as it isn't exclusively IOS

ALSO: One of those sprites seems to be Locke. In fact, I think 3 of them are Locke. There are no Galufs. And there's two Behemoths from VI.

Nobody want's to pay more than a few dollars for an ios game. I hope it's either 3DS or Vita bound. Hate finger swiping that little phone screen.
