While we wait for Game Freak to deliver more information on Pokemon X and Y, Byron Campbell from Rant Gaming looks back on his first Pokemon game. It was...Pokemon Tower Defense? Find out how this fanmade Flash game turned a Pokemon snubber into a fan for life.
JIG: Sam Otero's free fan-made spin on the Pokemon franchise, Pokemon Tower Defense, was a surprise smash-hit, blending gotta-catch-em-all RPG elements with surprisingly complex and strategic tower-defense gameplay.
LAG - Ahh flash games. Salvation of the bored office worker, scourge of the project deadline, procrastinators prerogative. We’re all guilty of spending some time trawling through Newgrounds or Miniclip on a dull afternoon. The problem is that finding the worthwhile flash games is a lot like trying to find clothes in TK Maxx: that is to find any of the good stuff you have to first wade through rows and rows of crap. Well fresh from a flash game binge the likes of which I’ve never attempted before, I bring to you ten of the best flash games I encountered on my voyage through teh Internetz. Enjoy.
I've played One Chance, it's minimalist, emotional and best described as wonderful.
Pokémon Tower Defense is a great trip down memory lane, as well as giving a cool twist to the genre. Check out the review on CollegeGamer.net
Well, I was going to check out the game, but my AVG detected and blocked something after going to the 'Check it Out' link on the review page, which leads to the game at gamerfish.com. I recommend that people not go there if they're wanting to play it.
I'm not sure if it was from the game itself or what.. but here's another location for playing it.
