[Mansbros.com] Review: Final Fantasy VII

Ahh, yes, the big kahuna! Final Fantasy VII, developed by Squaresoft at the time, was released in 1997 for the Sony PlayStation and when it did, the game gained immediate popularity around the world and revolutionized the Japanese RPG genre with its engaging story, cinematic visuals, and one famous scene that touched the hearts of many people, but I can’t just spoil it for you (though I’m pretty sure the whole world knows by now).

Sometimes I'm thinking:

"What the gaming world would be w/o FFVII in it?"

& after a little thought I say to my self"

"Nah.. something like that is unthinkable!"

can any1 imagine basket w/o Michael Jordan?
can any1 imagine F1 w/o Michael Schumacher?
can any1 imagine football w/o Maradona(or Pele)
can any1 imagine box w/o Muhammad Ali?
& finally can any1 imagine what gaming world would be w/o PlayStation? & the answer is obvious "NO WAY!"

FFVII would always be at the TOP, the undisputed KING of the genre, the benchmark which every other game would be compared to, this game start a revolution back in 1997 & the effect that it have in the industry is obvious 15+ years after, no matter if some1 love or hate(dislike) FFVII cant deny that w/o FFVII a few millions gamers would never start playing rpgs(JRPs) out of JPN, & one of those people would be Me.

Yeah. That’s the first I’ve seen it anywhere near #1.

Mario 64 is great but I wouldn’t put it over Mario World.

Not having any Xenoblade Chronicles games on the list is a crime.

Sorry lol. I wrote the article but 5 of us voted for many different games and majority went on the list then we worked on the list. If it were just my personal top favorite we'd seen some xenoblade and star ocean as well as some others. Thanks for checking out it!

Not having any Xenoblade Chronicles games on the list at all is a crime.

The effort here is impressive. Hope it doesn’t get taken down.

He should have done it in Dreams though, the limitations of having done it in LBP are obvious.

solideagle318d ago

ah Dreams had so much potential, I think they should have released it on PC. one can only dream about dreams sale and popularity on PC. PC has modding/creative crowd and I think it would have been a hit

I love seeing projects like this. So much passion and time.
