TriForce Johnson to the NRA: “This Means War”

kotaku.com: Isaiah-TriForce Johnson is not happy with the response to last week's tragic shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary. The media is having a field day, politicians are jumping on bandwagons, and well-meaning gamers are giving the opposition even more fodder by participating in campaigns like Antwand Pearman's Online Shooter Ceasefire, according to TriForce.

Whatcha gonna do, NRA?
Whatcha gonna do when the gamers RUN WILD ON YOU?!!
Gamer 1: You're in for it now, BROTHER!
Gamer 2: Oooooh Yeeeeah! After i pay Stephanie a visit, i'm gonna give the NRA my Flying Elbow Drop, OOOOOOH YEEEEEAH!

LOGICWINS4143d ago

Eh...I'd rather not find out. I'm alergic to bullets.

LOGICWINS4143d ago

Btw Green Ranger, u do bday parties?

GreenRanger4143d ago

Yes, i do.
Do you want me to pop out of your cake?

Exotal4142d ago

Lol, the NRA have no chance against the gaming superpowers.

rpd1234143d ago

The NRA is just doing some awesome diverting. It's kind of brilliant, but they're assholes for it. Everyone hates them anyway, and they just sound like the rest of crazies blaming everything but the shooter and guns.

ThanatosDMC4143d ago

Yeah, i'd respect them more if they didnt blame anything else but the individual. Problem is the opposition is blaming guns for the shooting which directly affects NRA. I love guns too but what the NRA did and those lobbyists and politicians for gun control are such dick moves.

BattleAxe4142d ago

The guy's mother who owned the weapons should have had the guns locked in a gun safe with trigger locks. Its not the NRA's fault that there are irresponsible gun owners, and I'm sure that there have to be some laws on the books to force gun owners to keep their guns secure in their homes.

Rockefellow4143d ago (Edited 4143d ago )

Triforce Johnson can't do anything without being a complete asshole or coming across as slightly retarded. In this specific case, it's the latter. His heart might be in the right place, but his words are easily misconstrued, and he neglects the fact that the NRA has political roots deeper than the entire gaming industry combined, let alone us mere consumers.

He's also neglecting the fact that, even though the NRA is highly conservative in nature and the media is unabashedly liberal, neither side has been particularly kind to video games. So what if games aren't the central issue here? They're going to be capitalized on by either side regardless.

GreenRanger4143d ago

"TriForce has become something of a minor gamer celebrity by being first in line in all of North America to buy Nintendo's Wii, 3DS and Wii U."
Lol, you can become famous for anything these days.

Exotal4142d ago

That's because society has gotten dumber by the generation.

GreenRanger4142d ago (Edited 4142d ago )

Don't you mean people have gotten dumber?

EKWB reportedly plagued with financial disarray many gaming pc's left without parts

EK Cooling allegedly has slipped itself into a hot soup of seemingly endless financial woes, where it has not paid its staff, suppliers, and contractors for many months as the company is facing liquidity problems and a surplus of inventory left unsold, stuck in the warehouse for a more extended period. Gamers Nexus investigated these claims made by former and current personnel, where he found trails of unpaid bills lasting as long as three to four months and unpaid raises that accumulated for almost a year.

EK Water Blocks has two entities—a Slovenian-based headquarters and a US-based subsidiary, EK Cooling Solutions. Steve narrated the series of events in detail, stating that the company was reportedly irresponsible and negligent regarding payment. Consequently, partners and employees are forced to share the burden of alleged mismanagement. It all begins with its extensive range of products, leading to a surplus of goods. EK has over 230 water blocks, 40 liquid cooling kits, 85 reservoirs, 40 pumps, 73 radiators, and 212 miscellaneous accessories.

Yes this is not about video games directly but indirectly this will impact the pc gaming/workstation space hard.

This company is massive one of two in the water cool space so if it goes poof then thousands out there have no spare parts or half built computers.

SO yeah i know not about a video game but think of it as amd leaving the pc space but this is ekwb that could be leaving water cooling in the pc space

Jayz2cents a supporter of there products also has issues

As someone that has built a watercooling rig. EK is big, but there's so many numerous watercooling part companies out there. EK's stuff isn't exactly amazing quality for the price compared to others either, it's just ok. Much like Corsair. The impact would be negligible long term. For perspective the majority of my parts are XSPC, at most I use EK for my gpu waterblocks and fittings. Both easily replaceable.
