Kotaku - This YouTube video by Criken is amazing. It's basically a collection of random happenings while playing Far Cry 3. Included are.

Do you even have the game for consoles? You troll
This game on my ps3 look just like in this video not any worse, idk about the xbox..

And I bet on a hi end pc with mods this games looks better buts the ps3 looks just like this anf yes the game is fun, everyone should play it!

Minus the loading menu and inception in the game which is fuck up " kill him men like die and etc etc" plus the butterfly m k ultra programming us on every loading screen .. fuck the ilumminaties and the sheeps who suck their d...

It's hard to tell from the video, but the pc version is most definitely prettier. i havent seen the console in person ill admit. But ive never seen a console game have this much detail without ailising, or having low Q textures. etc. Here's a screenshot i took on high settings. goes up to ultra, but it gets low fps at that point on 3 screens. http://img.techpowerup.org/...

sandman2244201d ago

No I don't, but I watched the PC version on ultra settings and it looks better than the ps3/360 version. I'm not a troll and I'm sure everyone else will agree with me on this one. I'm sure it looks nice on the consoles but the high end PC users get to enjoy the game at its full potential.

That pic has the same view on the ps3 but they add like a foggy climate when everything is far away it does not look clean.. but it looks sharp, I'm amazed by this game it's a open world and its the best multiplataform looking game I have seen so far, superior then bf3 on consoles or crysis plus the game play is fantastic ai fun, animal life is wild and surprisingly well done, the campaign feels like your not playing a open world and that make me think and want killzone 4 to be a open world like this, it's fun and there is a lot to do..

It's like gta open world, killzone 3 gunplay with uncharted. Campaign adventure .. this is how I see this game ohh and Motor storn fun driving..
I hope this set the bar for next open world games..

And I bet the game look better on ultra setting but that gameplay video look just like the ps3 version and the screen shoot look slightly better but virtually the same quality ..
The mods will set a notable difference that's for sure..

It's gotta be Far Cry 2 for me, the feeling of that game I'm still yet to find again, just everything about it, I'd kill for a remaster, I'd even be happy with just a bump in resolution and frame rate, occasionally go back to it, think I'm gunna have to do just that now 😂

porkChop2d ago

A remaster of Far Cry 2 would be amazing, especially with the mods that fixed the broken stealth system and the dumb checkpoint respawns. Include those fixes and it would be a huge upgrade over the original.

JEECE2d ago

Enemies respawn in Far Cry 2? Terrible! It's a broken system! Make me a one-man army who can inexplicably hold an entire region!

Enemies respawn in Dark Souls and Zelda? Brilliant! So much more hardcore! Glad the devs took risks!

porkChop2d ago

The problem isn't them respawning. It's that they respawned after just 5 minutes. Like you'd still be in the area looking for diamonds, loot, exploring, etc, and the enemies would just respawn with you there.

Farcry 3 and literally thats it! lol

GamingSinceForever465d ago (Edited 465d ago )

I recently tried 3 for the first time but the frame rate was a turnoff.

I liked 5 and 6 though.

banger88465d ago

If you have a Series X or S, the Xbox 360 version runs at 60 fps with fps boost. It's a shame the remaster doesn't.

isarai467d ago

2 and 3, pretty much the only ones i really enjoyed. 1 was amazing for the time but aged quite poorly. 4 has the elephant gun, all i can praise from any entry after 3 lol

cooperdnizzle465d ago

Ummmm 3 than stop.

Okay maybe two as well. But yeah probably 3 and then move on.

Far Cry 2. People constantly rant about games now being too easy, holding your hand, having too many unnecessary RPG-lite leveling features, etc. People specifically complain about open world games being too focused on tons of collectibles and "checkmarks" that just waste time.

Far Cry 2 is an answer to all of those complaints. It was made by Ubisoft before they fell into all the traps discussed above (and before they started inserting towers into their games to defog the map). It has respawning enemies, weapons that degrade, and the collectible diamonds are very useful in the game (which you find in a similar way to the way you find shrines in BOTW with a radar system). The map you have is an in game item you pull out while playing, not a pause menu that is unnecessarily detailed. Also the enemy AI and physics are much better than later entries in the series.

It has a mixed reputation because people at the time said it was too hard, the weapon degradation was annoying, and then respawning enemies were annoying. FC2 came out in 2008, so this was before games like Dark Souls and BOTW had come out and made it cool to like these types of features.

Far Cry 2, the one with the AI that find you through walls and trees, can one shot you from a mile away and have 100% accuracy? That was frustrating not fun because cheap AI.

JEECE464d ago (Edited 464d ago )

Uhh, I mean, it isn't one of these games where once the enemies have detected you they will magically forget you exist because you walked behind a wall or went into a bush. And yeah the AI isn't stormtrooper level accuracy. Again, these are positives, not negatives to me.

To be fair, I'm really directing this at the people most critical of "Modern Ubisoft" or "Modern Open World" design elements. Like the type of people who fawned all over Elden Ring because it had a clean UI because they are so burnt out by the "checkbox" type of open world design.

If you like those types of games, then a later FC game like 3 and especially 4-5 would be more your style.
