Capcom is working on bringing its arcade classics to digital platforms in the form of Capcom Arcade Cabinet, and according to French site Pockett Videogames, the Wii U eShop and 3DS eShop will be joining the retro party.
So far, it would seem as if Capcom Arcade Cabinet is only coming to the Xbox 360's Live Arcade service, but Pockett's source claims that other platforms will be targeted in 2013 as well - including Nintendo ones.
The month of July saw a lot of great additions to the Xbox Backwards Compatibility Programme, allowing you to play more of your favourite Xbox 360 games on your Xbox One Console than ever before. Here is a comprehensive list of all games added to Backwards Compatibility LAST month.
After today’s leak, Microsoft just confirmed via Xbox Live Director of Programming Larry “Major Nelson” Hryb that a bunch of new games are going to be compatible starting today with Xbox One’s backward compatibility feature.
From the review: "After weeks of waiting for overpriced packs, the Capcom Arcade Cabinet is finally complete. And while I may have complained about Capcom's aggressive pricing strategy, the overall package is ultimately worth a look. The three games found in this final pack are good, but aren't the showstoppers you might have expected."
I hope this comes to the Wii U, I'll probably give it a whirl. My only issue with collections like this is the publisher tends to either include too few games, some games suck or you haven't heard of them or the collection costs the earth. I think I'd rather purchase the games individually like the Wii VC, but pay a sensible price... Two or three £s maybe - it's not likely I'd feed more than that into the actual arcade machine.
im sure thats a yes...developers are bringing the games...haters can hate
