It's too late for STALKER the original developers went on to form new studios

Despair6664580d ago

If they had then they would'nt have acquired the license

If ubisoft could acquire the Call of Duty name they would. This could just be about name recognition.

If some of them are at 4A and some of them making two separate apocalyptic games starting two new dev studios how many devs could be left?

Maybe the janitor & security guard will continue the series?

The original GSC members are gone and formed these sudios...

4A-Metro franchise
Vostok-Survarium MMO game
Union-making new apocalyptic game

So how could a true STALKER game be made?

It doesn't mean they can't make a successful follow up to Stalker just because the original team aren't there. A new team can take what made Stalker great and improve on it.

The original team made a great series, but that doesn't mean there wasn't a lot of faults with it, the engine could have been a lot better.

They aren't the only good game devs on the planet you know.

'In related news, it was recently reported that the launch concurrent player count stats for MachineGames’ latest title, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, were below its previous games. According to Steam charts, the action-adventure game reached an all-time concurrent player count of 8,148 players on the platform.'.

By previous games you mean the Wolfenstein games right? Those games have been on PS5,PS4,Xbox One,Xbox Series,Switch and PC, while Indy is only on Xbox Series and PC currently so that not surprising.

This data is specific to Steam.
