Set in the very distant future, the game is a fight for survival after an apocalyptic event nearly wiped civilization off of the face of the Earth. Mixing elements from both the RTS and MMORPG genres, WorldShift is a very interesting approach to two genres which have been well defined in the past by many games, but rarely ever mixed.
