Persona 4 Golden Review - PlayStation Universe

PSU writes:

"This magnetic journey through social relationships and self-acceptance hits all the high notes of its PlayStation 2 namesake while infusing a wealth of new content and remarkable production values. As a port, Golden positively gleams with polish, but as an RPG, it soars. Extraordinary characters, a gripping narrative, addictive gameplay, and haunting charm that lingers long after your battery runs dry... these are hallmarks of a masterpiece, and while no video game is perfect, Persona 4 Golden comes closer than any game on the PS Vita before it."

Now technically one more day! I shall obtain this... And love it... Again...

The definition of what we call a masterpiece will strike down on us in less than a day! Even the most biased game sites do not dare score this game low cause they know the reckoning they will endure if they do so.

I am ready to relive my date with Yukiko again & also try my luck with the new gal in town Marie!

Snookies124558d ago

I actually never tried dating Yukiko... Might have to give that a go in this one. XD

izumo_lee4558d ago

I love Chie's spunk but yeah in the original game Yukiko was the first one i tried to go out with cause i tend to favor the quiet girls cause they are more mysterious & have that 'need protecting' feel to them.

Anyways we can agree that this game is going to be SOOOOO GOOOD!!!!

Snookies124558d ago

That we can, I simply can't wait to get back into P4, and all the extras make me even more excited!

How's the turn based part? Is it Pokemony or what? It's the only turn based game I ever played.

Hicken4557d ago

... I guess.. if you were able to control 4 Pokemon at once. All your Pokemon get to go, then the other Pokemon go. No swapping them out in the middle of battle, unless that's been changed.

4 is my favorite Persona so I’m hyped for a remake. I’ve played Golden a few times and the original a couple times so I’m ready for the remake

P4 Golden literally justified the VITA at the time (incredibly slick on that OLED display as well... huge memories for me). P4 on PS2 was awesome (I played it on my BC ps3 at the time) but Golden elevated it, again- that screen and the intimate feel of playing it on a handheld made it feel way less dated.... I love that game. That and Ys memories of Celceta, Killzone and some of the other incredible games made the VITA intensely memorable even if mostly due to the name (same fate as the Wii U) nobody knew what it was initially and it went by the wayside (idiots blame the cards but literally nobody but a few loud people on forums cared about the cards, mostly because they were hoping to pirate, one small cheap card held tons of games- it was never a problem)

Damn straight it did, I bought it on a whim when I was in a Gamestop one day and saw it on sale. I played the shit outta that game. Another one was Zero escape: Virtues Last Reward. If it was just for those 2 games, the console was worth it.
