Another Sad Day For Silicone Knights - BagoGames

Earlier this year developer Silicon Knights was hit with a heavy legal loss, when in May, Epic Games received $4.45M in damages and was found victorious in its case against Silicon Knights.

Silicon Knights claimed that the Developer had been ”sabotaging efforts by Silicon Knights and others to develop their own video games”. Simple SK founder Dennis Dyack started a lawsuit that he coudlnt win because the claims he made were just stupid. The reason the games failed is because of their own incompetence and his bad leadership of the studio.

I dont blame Epic for counter suing to squash this bug once and for all. I would feel bad if his claims were even 10% true, but they arent this has been proven by other games made by other third party devs on the unreal engine.

silicone knights were never apart of nintendo in the first place. sure they made games exlcusive for them, but they were never owned by nintendo.

They need to sell the Eternal Darkness property to someone who can do it. My suggestion: Ubisoft or Bethesda :)

Bagogames2662d ago

i think Bethesda would make better use of it. Ubisoft would just out game after game and ruin something that's good.

I think Nintendo should buy the Eternal Darkness property. Nintendo did file a trademark back in 2011 for the game and they have a patent on the sanity effects.
