1989, it’s hard to believe it’s been 23 years. In ’89 the Sega Genesis was released and George H.W. Bush held a bag of coke in his first televised Presidential speech to the nation. Times were different. Hotline Miami is a digital love letter to the late 80′s. That is, if you remember the 80′s as a drug fueled bloodbath. Hotline Miami is not a nice game by any means, but it’s a lot of fun.
The game is a top-down shooter that forces you to think about your next move. You play as a man that has been receiving phone calls from an unknown source. You’re given a story and a location and you book it. Once you arrive, the goal is pretty simple: kill everybody.
