PlayStation Store Preview – October 23, 2012

For once, the PlayStation Vita can go toe-to-toe with the PS3 in terms of content. Both platforms have plenty of new games in the way of digital and retail releases, both available on the PlayStation Store. Those of you without PlayStation Plus can now pick up the PlayStation All-Stars: Battle Royale Beta and The Unfinished Swan.

The Unfinished Swan is so epicly epic that it's just epic

decimalator4203d ago

but why didn't they finish it?

Godchild10204203d ago

So, the consumers can finish it and So, the consumers can get an experience like no other.

mafiahajeri4203d ago (Edited 4203d ago )

So they could let you finish it so you can see how epic it is ;D

@ABOVE great minds think alike :P

Unfinished Swan is good, but didn't really awe me like Journey. I like that Sony allows devs to take chances with artsy-fartsy games. It's worth the price of admission. Tomorrow is all about Killzone HD for me.

moparful994203d ago

LOL I see wut you did thar!

subtenko4203d ago

Trust me,lol the Unfinished Swan is a gaming Inception! I made a playthrough of it on my gaming channel. It's a nice game and is one of those trippy games. Unfortunately it doesnt warrant a sequel unless they want to make the guy like Alice in wonderland some more.

Go get it. Its a nice experience.

They really need to do some advertising for TUF. At first glance, it looks like another crappy "artsy" game light on content, like Limbo. If I hadn't accidentally seen some gameplay footage, I'd have zero interest in it.

doogiebear4203d ago

Man I may just go ahead and check it out. Hope there's a demo

insertcoin4203d ago

I might bite on The Unfinished Swan, though I think the concept runs out of mileage quickly. But at least it's innovative, which is so rare these days.

decimalator4203d ago

so much goodness. but I'm looking forward to Rachet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault. the beta was really, really fun

PSABR,KZ HD,and WInback for me this week

We need a new Winback this generation!!!!!

Lord_Sloth4203d ago

I still have my PS2 Winback.

It's funny too because modern cover systems in TPS games kind of evolved from what it gave us.

memots4202d ago

everyone forgot about winback. You would think there was never any cover base game before geow

ziggurcat4203d ago

damn, now i have to go out and repurchase dark souls...

Chapulin4203d ago

Those that have managed to brave the punishing difficulty of FromSoftware’s Dark Souls and are up for more “fun”, can look forward to upcoming downloadable content, dubbed Artorias of the Abyss.

This new DLC pack will be available on both Xbox Live and PlayStation Network starting October 24th in Europe and Australia. There’s currently no word on when gamers in North American can expect the content.

Artorias of the Abyss contains all of the additional content that was included in the PC version of the game, Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition. The content will be priced at $14.99.

If that seems a bit steep, or you just want all the content on disc, you can wait until October 26th, when Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition releases for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Once again, there’s no word on when/if it is being brought to North America, so sit tight for news on that front.

It's A Crime That There's No Sleeping Dogs 2 Yet

I agree, I consider the first one a cult classic already

isarai10d ago

You say "yet" as if it's even possible anymore. United Front Games is gone, along with anyone that made this game what it is

CrimsonWing699d ago

That’s what happens when games sell poorly. And I’ve seen people wonder why people cry when a game sells badly… this is your answer.

solideagle9d ago

Majority of the time it's true but if a company/publisher is big (in terms of money), they can take a hit or 2. e.g. I am not worried about Rebirth sales as Square will make Remake 3 anyway but if FF 17 doesn't sell then Square might need to look for alternative. <-- my humble opinion

Abnor_Mal9d ago

Doesn’t Microsoft own the IP now since they acquired Activision?

DaReapa9d ago

No. Square Enix owns the IP.

Abnor_Mal9d ago

Oh okay, Activision owned True Crime, but when that didn’t sell as intended it was canceled. Six months later Square Enix bought the rights and changed the title to Sleeping Dogs.*

*As per Wikipedia

boing19d ago (Edited 9d ago )

Sleeping Dogs was a sleeper hit back then. It was fantastic. It actually still is. Would love a sequel to this, or at least a revive of True Crime series.

watching the video is better then going through 31 pages of gamingbolt.

LG_Fox_Brazil156d ago

Do they explain in the video why there are two numbers 3? Starfield and Tears of the Kingdom?

It's always refreshing to see games embracing the streaming community.

Bloodborne is a game I still restart and play every few months. I would welcome just a re release in 60fps with a visual upgrade. It's a perfect game. If I was king for a day I would include the randomizer mods because then it would be a kind of rogue like and I could play it forever.

gleepot356d ago

Sure, ill take a sequel to all of these.
