Interviewer Steve Wright writes, "We met up with Jordan Reiss, co-founder of Astro Gaming, on the third and final day of the EB Expo in Sydney, just after Daylight Savings had us move our clocks forward by an hour. If only that was my excuse for missing our initial appointment; I simply had it in my calendar for the wrong time. As I explained myself and apologised profusely, Reiss simply smiled and said we could easily conduct an interview, so long as it didn’t clash with another he’d booked.
"In short, he’s a nice guy."
Astro makes some amazing and very durable headsets and this looks amazing. Logitech G, today unveiled the new ASTRO Gaming A10 Gen 2 Wired Gaming Headset.
Astro is quality.
Almost ten years in, my original gen A50s aren't giving me a single issue, and still go toe to toe with the best gaming headsets on the market.
I do also have a HyperX Cloud Revolver S though, and it's very much a quality surround sound headset for a fair bit cheaper.
I have been using the A10s model since I stopped using my A50s. And I have to say they are pretty good. And now the new model of the A10s are even better.
Astro Gaming announced their new ASTRO.ID Collection 2 line for their Astro A40 TR headsets, now available to customize exclusively on their website.
Even though they finally died a couple years ago, my original Astro A50s was awesome and lasted me for the better part of a decade.
That said, I'm using the HyperX Cloud Revolver S, and the sound is also fantastic, and far less pricey. It's just less comfortable than what I had with the A50s, not that it's uncomfortable either though. I just barely even noticed the A50s when wearing them.
Do you travel with your games often? Take your Switch with you, or maybe carry around a laptop? If so, a new collaboration between ASTRO Gaming and San Francisco bag maker Timbuk2 may be for you.
