What's Next For The Resident Evil Series?

Nope, though it may sell less than the other games, this game will still sell quite a number, and that alone is reason enough for Capcom to make a 7th one. People just need to hope RE7 is not worse than RE6, thought I guess that's almost impossible considering the hate on RE6. But this is Capcom, so anything's possible.

From what I've read, consensus is that RE6 is worse than RE5, which was worse than RE4, etc. The last few years have been a downward spiral. Capcom has lost its way with the franchise, and I can't see them learning from the poor reviews RE6 has garnered considering the "we know best"-esque speeches they've been giving to the press lately.

They want the CoD lot to buy their game - end of story. Meanwhile, the community is slowly losing respect for the developer. Read a review from a fanboy or newcomer and they'll say RE6 is awesome. Read a review from someone who knows Resident Evil and you'll get a totally different story. The evidence in online for all to see...

Hmm knowing Capcom, they seem to act greedy so my guess is that their will be an RE7 and i'm not sure if it will actually return to its roots but hopefully or just give RE to Kojima or something so we can get a reboot.

Hopefully this is just a phase. Even with all the on-disc DLC nonsense and Resident Evils that aren't as Resident Evil as they should be, I have faith that Capcom will eventually listen to all the fans and play nice again.

The bottom line is they don't make bad games, they are just being very cheeky and testing the waters to see how much they can milk from fans. As long as people vote with their wallets and show Capcom all they really want is great games that are true to the classics, I think everything will be fine in the end.
