ScrewAttack: "Borderlands 2 takes everything that was right about the first game and makes it slightly better. The feel of combat is virtually the same, the loot fest can turn anyone into a gun-junkie, and the multiplayer co-op is great. Everything is a marginal improvement, so there isn't any high-adrenaline moments that makes the gameplay truly stand out. Still, it's an engaging experience. You keep on playing because of the desire to defeat the villain, playing with friends, and finding the next great gun. Anyone looking for a new kind of shooter, or fans returning from the original, will be pleased."
Ahmad from eXputer: "Borderlands 2's unrivaled storytelling is something that has to lean into the core elements of the next iteration in the Borderlands series."
I'm curious how they are going to do the Siren since they've kind of wrote themselves into a corner regarding the lore.
it will probably be alot like wonderlands, since that is the last borderlands game
but we'll see soon
Most people do. But the people that create the games don't seem to understand that.
I bet it will be even worse than BL3 when it comes to story and character designs.
While gamers usually take notice of the mainline missions, these 5 side quests deserve more widespread attention for how entertaining they are.
GF365: "Whether it be style, speed or firepower, these rides are sure to satisfy. Here are our picks for the ten best vehicles in video games."
The Suzuki Escudo Pikes Peak from the Gran Turismo series
Nissan Skyline from Need for Speed Underground
Motorcycle Steamroller from Dead Rising 3
And finally a car you never drive but saves your ass over and over : Honey Badger from COD MW2
I was thinking of Mad Max. That V8 felt really good to drive around in, especially with upgrades.
To each his own of course but I have a hard time seeing anyone not give this game at the very least a 9/10. This is coming from someone who only saw the first one as maybe an 8/10.
Borderlands 2 is just such a huge improvement over the first one imo.
Fun factor alone (not even including the humor, length and replayability) is a 9.5 for me.
I agree. My friend says goty. I am not so sure yet as money is on ac3 or dishonored. I am a huge fan of new ips. But this game has no weaknesses. Everything is improved including the stoqry. We will see how they handle dlc as this game yearns for end game content . Maybe i understand his sentiment that it is very familiar if u played the first. But man, this is a damn good game.
Can't stand what they've done with the shooting. Just aiming down the sights has this crazy swaying affect now and too many of the guns shoot pellets instead of bullets...
The story is pretty damn good though and I'm glad they made Claptrap a bigger part of the game.
Loved how General Knoxx would occasionally pop is and say something hilarious. I feel like they've gone a bit overboard with Handsome Jack.
I've also bumped into a few glitches, but luckily the game saves often enough to where it's not that big of a deal.
Not too fond of the classes either. They feel underpowered in comparison to the previous vault hunters. Maya is decent but the rest of them....
I'd give the game an 8 as well.
@Camel
what's the difference between an 8, a 9, and a 9.5 aside from 1 and .5?
