Eurogamer Expo Interview: Merlin The Game
Zero1Gaming writer Tim Bowers interviewed Mike Bithell from Bossa Studios to talk about their next release, Merlin: The Game. Due to be the first realtime PVP roleplaying game on Facebook, with a distinctive art style and drop-in, drop-out cooperative play, this game could redefine the social gaming genre.
Using the popular BBC series as a basis, the graphic style of the characters and surroundings was based on European comic books. The classic dungeon style roleplaying elements of the game are bound to attract even skeptical gamers to give it a try, and fans of the series are sure to be delighted at seeing the areas of the kingdom they are familiar with come to life within their web browser.
Tim’s interview with Mike gave us an insight into the game, and shows just what makes Bossa Studios the award winning studio it is. Not only are they game designers, the studio is also made up of actual gamers and geeks, and seeing their passion for the games they play, and the games they create is refreshingly enjoyable. See Mike’s enthusiasm and love for the game in the interview below:
