As this generation of consoles is coming to a close, a whole host of quality games are arriving to see it out in style. This year’s Eurogamer Expo was a chance to get to play the big names that will be among the last of what has been an unusually long lifespan for the current consoles. Nintendo’s Wii U was of course on show, although in the limited time a day ticket offers I only managed to try out Rayman Legends from its line-up. I can’t think of a particularly good way to organise my impressions from the event so I think I’ll go with the time-honoured, unbiased technique of alphabetical order.
A little-known game Puppeteer is on this list for the best PS3 platformers.
Puppeteer is really good. Nobody played it because it came out right before PS4 came out. When I went to pick up Puppeteer from GameStop some people were trading in their old consoles for PS4 preorder.
Ubisoft barely have a leg to stand on lately, so do they need to crack open the vaults and return platforming royalty to glory for some goodwill?
We need Rayman 4, they could make a great platformer game if they wanted. With the open hub levels and the like.
Better than relying on Rabbids and Assassins Creed all the time
Yes..but I am sure it won't be the Rayman game fans want. Not from the company that is Ubisoft today.
Ancel is retired from games. His hoodlum/rabbid team are doing their own thing. It would not be the same if Ubisoft did.
Experience points, skill trees to fill up, level gating, endless menial tasks and side quests, constantly scrounging for resources. Always having to upgrade your gear. A.KA. "The Ubisoft effect".
No thanks, don't ruin Rayman's legacy.
A decade on from Rayman Legends' release, it remains a near perfect platformer, so what happened to Rayman? Will we ever see another sequel?
