Siliconera- While Silent Hill: Book of Memories is a multiplayer dungeon crawler, my recent experience with the game involved me playing by myself. Before hopping into the game proper, I had a chance to look through the menu, where I had the ability to customize my character a little bit.
There are more franchises that cater to particular people than ever in the online melting pot. But there are plenty of sequels and spin-offs that don’t even start, uh, cooking in that melting pot.
The sirens are sounding again, beckoning you back to the foggy ghost town as we rank all the Silent Hill games, from the chilling classics to the misguided missteps.
I mostly disagree with Downpour's position. Yeah, the game is not amazing by any stretch of the imagination but is much better than the HD Collection and Homecoming. The main issue is the performance, but that was mitigated by the patches, especially on the PS3. Personally, I put it a little behind Origins and The Room.
Having Restless Dreams as a different entry from Silent Hill 2 is also a choice.
silent hill 2 is definitely the best one out of those.
for me personally, the whole ritual/cult stuff was always so weird to me in all the other games.
No disrespect but I put SH2 over 1. 1 is fantastic, but 2 took it all up a level.

The Silent Hill series has been around for a long time, and there have been nine main releases since its inception. It's time to rank all of them from worst to best.
I found it enjoyable. There are some lighting issues in some areas in the demo. It can get really dark to a point where you can barely see anything or where there is light, just not as much as you would hope. At first I thought it was my Vita; but after reading this preview, I found out it's suppose to be like that and the play is equiped with a flashlight. You have to press Select to use the flashlight.
Its a dungeon crawler in a way, it plays well with the Vita. It doesn't have the best graphics, but its not an eye swore. Playing on your own or with someone will change certain task(s) that you will can do or certain things will only show up when playing by yourself.
There are three levels/zones in the demo, with the last one ending in a boss battle. I don't know how far it goes, but it starts out about the players Job(promotion and stuff). That could be just the person I used. I'm going to use someone else the next time I play.
The game is enjoyable and the demo helped me make up my mind about the game. I'm getting it for the factor of; Having something to play on my Vita and the fact that how much time went by with me going through each room looking for stuff. If there are 6 endings, tt will have enough replay value for me to justify my purchase. My grade for this demo is a 8.5.
Edit: I downloaded the demo off the EU PSN Store from my Vita.
It was better than I expected.Anyone with a Vita should try it before judging it.
I guess everyone who will play the demo will be surprised how good the game actually is. So please try the demo before judging the game, this is all I can say!
For me it is day one, already liked the game at Gamescom and after playing the demo even more.
"Not Scary, But Creepy" what i thought of all the other Silent Hill games anyway
Haven't played the demo though I'm glad it's a good game.
