Two years had gone by, we’d advanced a console generation and I was content to think that maybe my favorite franchise had ended. I hadn’t expected one sequel, but upon release it was an incredibly welcome surprise. So as time passed I honestly wouldn’t have minded if the franchise didn’t receive another installment, not when the first two were the diamonds they were. Now here we were two years into the PS2’s life-cycle and the prehistoric rumbling began again.
