Console Arcade: The Uprising blundered into its second day with Sententia, a game whose place in the promotion was by virtue of it being developed by one of the men running the promotion; a detail sinisterly left out of any pre-Uprising press. Perhaps it wouldn’t seem so vile if Sententia was a good game, unfortunately it is far from such and rather than showcasing Xbox LIVE Indie Games at its very best, it showcases it at its most average, and most broken.
SteamFirst: The pixelated dungeon crawlers seem to be creeping out of the woodwork faster than cockroaches at night in my kitchen which hasn’t been cleaned in months. Still, among the masses of cookie cutter 16-bit games, there is the occasional gem. But like any real gem, you need to mine long and hard just to get to it.
(CriticalIndieGamer) Diehard Dungeons does have its own personality but it’s lagging behind a crowd that have embraced newer graphics and more unique mechanics. It just feels old and stale, even more so when compared to games like Binding of Isaac and Dungeon of the Endless. If you want a rogue-like for under £5, it is worth it.
Entertainment Buddha's Matt Heywood writes, "We’ve already hit March, which means that the new video game releases should slowly start getting more exciting. The doldrums of the winter release season are just about over, so to celebrate Ubisoft is releasing its much anticipated South Park: The Stick of Truth for the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC. This RPG is high on the list of many gamers and fans of the show, and considering that it was created by Matt and Trey, there’s no doubt that it’ll kick ass."
