NBA Live 13 has a trailer and it’s… bad.

I guess we really shouldn’t be shocked with this one as the NBA Live franchise lost its right to be called anything close to “good” when it made its Next Gen debut over 5 years ago, but the child in me who grew up playing the Live series on the Playstation 1 still holds out hope that one year the disgraced EA franchise one day returns to glory. It’s not happening this year though.

Making its return after a 3 year hiatus sparked by the terribleness of the NBA Elite 11 demo and the appearance of Jesus Bynum in 2010, NBA Live 13 is EA’s hopeful return into the NBA 2K dominated simulation basketball genre. Until this point, the lack of a trailer left most of the discussion to revolve around the rumor that NVA Live 13 would be a $20 downloadable game instead of a full priced title. With the release of the trailer today, the talk has finally and rightfully shifted to the actual quality of the product itself which, sad to say, isn’t looking too good.
