Well, that didn't take long. It seems like just yesterday that Capcom was exhibiting humility and apologizing to their customers for their practices regarding DLC. In fact, it was actually in the middle of this past May that Christian Svensson of Capcom USA was speaking on behalf of his company about how they were re-evaluating how they handled DLC, and that complaints about their particularly egregious handling of Street Fighter X Tekken's disc-locked content had been heard loud and clear.

One of the highlights of FanimeCon 2025 was the Capcom cosplay gathering.
Capcom has removed GFWL from PC versions of Lost Planet 1 and 2 as well as other titles on Steam alongside support for online features.
Seems dumb releasing multiple modes as DLC.. some games are a struggle to find matches as it is let alone modes especially for DLC buyers. Still I guess with Capcom's new ethos, by the time the modes die out, Resident Evil 7 will be around the corner.
Of course it will. I'm sure they're all locked on the disc, too.
