The new Infinity physics engine does not save Madden NFL 13 from being one of the biggest failures in the franchise. EA did not spend enough time on this title.
VGChartz's Adam Cartwright: "This is the sixth entry in a series of articles I’m writing that will look at all of the games available in a particular genre on the Vita. The articles will highlight all Vita-native games, as well as any backwards-compatible PSP and PS1 titles that can be downloaded in English (i.e. from the EU or NA stores), and will include some commentary on how well those games run on Vita and whether they fill any missing gaps in the library."
In many ways, this past console generation was a brutal one for sports video games. While other genres flourished, sports gamers were subjected to an irreversible thinning of the herd, losing MLB 2K, 2K Sports football, NHL 2K, both NCAA basketball franchises, and seeing arcade sports games all but vanish. Competition, which breeds innovation, is weaker than ever. But that’s not to say some standout games didn’t arrive as well.
TG writes: Want to know who's going to win Sunday's big game? I'll tell you. It's not going to be the Broncos or the Seahawks. It's going to be John Madden.
Who ever wrote this must live in Denver. I know it's Legal there now but don't smoke too much. It may cause insanity.
I'm all about people having there opinions, but this review is so bad and out of touch, this reviewer needs to be fired immediately. I do agree with some of his points, some of the features removed seem odd. But most of the game has been expanded and polished up. And the actual on the field gameplay with the new phisics engine is the best Madden has ever been. The graphics, animation, and phisics are all greatly improved. This is the first sports game review I've read that being realistic is somehow a negative. This is not blitz, I want this game realistic. Madden has been cashing it in for years, it finally makes some great core changes, and this Guy complains about things like, its too realistic, he can't change ticket and food prices, and that he is to dumb to figure out hot routes and defensive adjustments. Total crap review.
agree with you completely. my only complaint is that the ea servers suck. i wish it was easy going but its not. other than that this is acually the first madden in years that deserves my $60.
Seriously? Are you sure you reviewing madden 13? As 13 is easily the best madden of this he generation, the cc is superior to franchise or superstar mode and the gameplay just seems much more fun. The only issue I have is not being able to change jersey numbers, but aside from that this feels like sports game which you could keep for the next few years and still enjoy it rather than replace it as soon as 14 approaches.
Like most Video Games these days we can be pick apart things that need to better in the game.I like this version and yes when a running back keeps running into the back of a blocker and falls to the ground the play is over.there is a place in the game where it is hard to tell who is on what team because of the sun glare. The juke is to weak. The stumble affect is terrible when the player stumbles half the way across the field before you gain control again. We could pick this game apart can't we? Love it or hate it.
