3DS Buzz writes: The Final Fantasy series is one of the greatest in gaming history. The 3DS has yet to see an entry in the series yet. These are the top five Final Fantasy games that I want to see on the 3DS.
Gary Green said: We Europeans got royally screwed with the releases of the first six Final Fantasy games. I’m sure you’d find plenty of dodgy imports or bootlegs if you looked hard enough, but we never actually got a proper release for any of them, at least not for the first editions. There was a lot of xenophobia in gaming at the time, so anything Japanese getting released in the west at all was nothing short of a miracle. It was an ugly trend that continued well into the 2000s when worldwide releases became the new norm.
One of the most beloved entries in Square Enix’s long-running franchise is celebrating its 30th anniversary and that’s cause for celebration!
This arguably is my best game of all time out of the 40yrs I’ve been playing videogames
FFVIII - 25th Anniversary

Square “HAPPY ANNIVERSARY. We got some news on the upcoming remakes, we got a shit ton of new VII merchandise, we have some other special community things planned and on, check out this cool 25th Anniversary logo specially created for VII’s big day”
Final Fantasy V is a near flawless RPG and one of Square’s finest 16-bit achievements.
I would positively love to see Final Fantasy VI remade in HD graphics for the 3DS!
i want ff6 remake
I always thought it was odd how there are two modern handhelds on the market. On the one hand, you have the Vita, which can (ostensibly) play Final Fantasy 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10.
Then you have the 3DS, which can (ostensibly) play Final Fantasy 3, Final Fantasy 4, and... that's it.
So, naturally, Square-Enix releases a rhythm game revolving around our collective nostalgia for the franchise on the one platform capable of playing the fewest Final Fantasy games.
It's just... odd. Quite odd. Particular when you consider that the Vita could manage the touch-based gameplay just as well, well, maybe almost as well as the 3DS.
Odd. Damned peculiar. Strange. The whole lot.
...
So, yeah. I'd like to see as many Final Fantasy games on the 3DS as possible. We're due for re-makes of Final Fantasy V and VI soon, well, unless SE really did abandon that whole "remake all the old games in order" routine they started a few years back.
I'd even settle for SNES virtual console releases. Well, okay. I'd settle for that if Nintendo actually named them properly. It bugged the hell out of me that Nintendo kept the old, wrong titles for the Wii VC release.
Hate it. Hate it. Hate it. Hate it. Hate it. Hate it. It burns us!
