Really dont get the hype for dishonored.

DigitalRaptor4267d ago (Edited 4267d ago )

Arkane studios consists of Half-Life 2 environmental designer, original minds from Deus Ex and influences from that game, Thief and BioShock. I'd say it's at least got some potential behind it based on the team who's working on it, and what's been shown is interesting at least.

@ KonaBro

I disagree that Beyond beats Dishonored. Both are original IP and we know more about Dishonored. You also are given more freedom in Dishonored due to the way they've designed the game. As good as Beyond will be for its personal and emotional narrative, both looks equally compelling.

Black Ops 2 though... o_O

What hype? All I've run into is a bunch of jaded gamers too skeptical for their own good.

but for the few of us who actually know what this game is about, its going to be amazing.

if you like:
Metal Gear
Deus Ex
Bioshock
Thief

then you'll like Dishonored.

Just played the game today... pretty much plays like half-life, with a much more improved stealth mechanic to skyrim...it feels good while you play it... but I was playing an overpowered character

I also played

-GOW:Ascension single player
-AC3 single and mp
-Farcry 3 single and mp
-PSABR (very happy with it)
-Halo 4
-Injustice
-All the WiiU games (seriously, hate all of them except zombiU... Arkham city looks and plays awfully compared to ps3 and 360)

If you want a bit more info, going to go play those games again for the next 3 days.

The Magic of 'Dishonored’s' Blink

It’s a shame, really, that so few games have “borrowed” Dishonored’s Blink – in the right hands, such a power could be game-changing.

It felt kinda cheap to me… both in terms as a tactic, and game design

Abnor_Mal437d ago (Edited 437d ago )

There was a small game called Aragami that “borrowed” the blink, that was a good game.

Unfortunately I heard the sequel wasn’t good so I stayed away from trying it out.

The sequel changed some of the mechanics from the first game but it was still a very polished and enjoyable experience. You should definitely give it a shot sometime. The game's currently on sale on Steam

Abnor_Mal436d ago

Okay thanks for the heads up, will look out for it being on sale one day.

I really did like the first and played it back to back as soon as I finished the first play through.
