Kotaku - The first three Wild Arms games are my favorite JPRG series. 4 & 5 are great too, but they just didn't capture me in the same way that the first 3 did. The early Wild Arms games are great because they combine the storytelling and combat of a traditional turn-based JRPG with Zelda style puzzle solving.
Andrew from Rocket Chainsaw talks through his love of some of his favourite games, beginning with his favourite game of all time, Wild Arms.
A franchise Sony need to bring back into the light was pissed the franchise never showed up on Ps3 or PS4
VGChartz's Taneli Palola: "Each of these articles will be centered around a specific theme, whether that's a style of music, a specific console, or just something completely different. Also, at the end of each of these articles, I will pose a video game music related question on something usually related to the theme of the article, which you can answer in the comments below if you so wish. Each article will highlight between five and ten different tracks from various games, in no particular order.
With that in mind, let's start with a theme that's quite timely and relevant right now thanks to the recent release of Red Dead Redemption 2. The American old west has inspired countless different video games and produced some amazing pieces of music over the years, so let's have a listen to just a few such tracks."
Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) today announced that PlayStation®Classic, a miniature games console that mirrors the look of the original PlayStation® and comes preloaded with 20 original games, will launch in limited quantities on December 3, 2018, in Japan, North America and Europe. PlayStation Classic will be available*1 at a manufacturer's suggested retail price of 9,980 yen in Japan, $ 99 USD in North America and € 99 in Europe.
wow Sony is Nintend-izing a lot....still a worthy mini-console imo ...these games are pure nostalgia
Don't tell me you honestly think that this isn't coming about precisely because of the Nintendo Classic consoles' recent success.
Please don't.
Anyone with a working brainstem knows it's taking a page from Nintendo here.XD
I mean, not that that's a bad thing, because this looks cool, but let's be real here, rofl.
@XenoBoone382 Um no, the Neo Geo Mini just came out. You're talking about the Neo Geo X.
You have to admire Sony fans sometimes just for their sheer audacity XD
Atari, Neo Geo and even Sega consoles have had these long before Nintendo or Sony jumped on the bandwagon. Still Sony is the first to use 3D games so that's a step in the right direction when it comes to these.
Only 20 games.... should be 25 to commemorate the 25th anniversary.
25 games that defined the og PS1. And using the non ds controllers???
what are we implying here? That this is somehow something distinctly Nintendo, and anyone else who does it somehow owes it to Nintendo?
Lets be honest here. When N announced the NES classic the whole collective gaming fans went nuts and started saying how there should be (insert system as a mini here). Now that others are starting to come to market, there is room for them and should not be a well they are copying them and so forth.
That is just petty and immature. I'd love for Sega to actually make their own mini systems and not go the 3rd party mfg route. Scrap the contract with Radica and At Games and actually design their own Genesis mini, Master System mini, Saturn mini and DC mini.
And on a similar subject, I'd love for Sega to enter the mini arcade cab market as well. A little 12" tall cab of golden axe or shinobi or virtua fighter would be awesome.
Stop fighting over who did what first or better or whatever and just play the damn games and have fun.
So...100$ to play FF7 and Wild Arms? Ok!
I really hope it has The Did Hard trilogy and xgames
Well this sucks. No wonder why we still don't have PS1 or PS2 backwards compatibility on our PS4.
But it is Nintendo who made the “classic” console popular though. The Atari and Neo Geo Mini sold nowhere near as much as the Nintendo ones.
@King_Noctis
Sure that had more to do with the brand and games than the title “Classic”
No one is saying they invented it but give credit where credit is due. They certainly capitalized, popularized and sensationalized the plug and play mini more so than any company before them. including Jakks Pacific who made dozens of PnP units.
It is because of the Nintendo classic console's influence, but a playstation-centric site won't let you live down pointing that out.
It's not about who's first, it's about who sells out first. Nintendo did.
"but a playstation-centric site won't let you...."
Whaaaa. Want a tissue?
"It's not about who's first, it's about who sells out first. Nintendo did. "
Sounds like shit people say when it is convenient at the time.
If people can say the Tomb Raider reboot didn't happen because of Uncharted, then this issue shouldn't matter either.
Soooooooo all you nity boys wanting fortnight and all. Wouldn't you be coping Sony???? Even though Sony didnt have it first cuz it was PC, Sony, xbone, it sold THE MOST on the ps4 system. So with you're logic then you shouldn't have fortnight cuz ur just coping sony, since Sony making a mini ps1 is just piggybacking off of nitys 🤔 🤔 🙄 😏
I would have to agree. Nintendo definitely did not start the trend, but it was certainly popularized by them. Sony had a motion controller before Nintendo, but it was the buzz and curiosity around the Wii that had them include it in the SIXAXIS/DS3. Even the PS2 Eye Toy had some early demos featuring the first "PS Move controller" that was, again, lost to the wind until Nintendo made it popular.
The Nintendo classics may not be the original classic consoles, but it's sincere denial to think for a moment that the PSOne classic is not a response to the Nintendo classics' success.
Okay, but you wanna bet on who is gonna sell better?
I guarantee you won't 😂🤷🏻♂️
Sega released Sega Mega Drive Classic console in November 2014. Sony and Nintendo copied Sega
@ EddieNX
Right because Nintendo came up with the idea oh wait they didn't otherwise they would have patent it because that's what they do. So what if Sony was inspired to do this because of Nintendo's success you act like they don't all copy each others ideas.
They did.
The switch has the online capabilities of the PS2 🤣 excluding voice chat.
Naruga
It's not uncommon for companies to copy what had succeed and Sony isn't the only one to do so
Nintendo showed there is a market for these type of mini consoles
Nintendo hardly invented the concept of a mini retro console. Atari and Sega have been licensing their systems for practically ever, and they put more games onto the systems as well
I was interested in this until I saw the $99 price tag. I have all my favorite PS 1 games on PC
All the Naysayers on here. You really think Sony didn't just copy what Nintendo was doing. Because that's what Sony is about. Copying other platforms. They have since they launched PS1.
Sony see's the massive success of the NES and SNES classics so they launch a PS1 classic. Too bad PS1 games are pretty much unplayable. They definitely didn't do it because of Sega, Atari or Neo Geo.
Sega and other companies have done it before but they licensed it out to other companies. Atari games are trash.
NES offers amazing games that still hold up, same with the SNES classic.
Sony wants the same success and Nintendo, not Neo Geo or Atari.
Technically they all copied China ripoff systems, so there you go! They have had them here in NYC for over 10 years.
So again, Sony following Nintendo and the fanboys flock to Sony's side on N4G. How dare you say God Sony copies!!!
i wish they used the same controller port as the original, to be able to use the 4 controller split device and other accessories(DDR carpet controller, Time Crisis gun etc...)... i'm not interested because of this.
I'm not interested because they didn't even bother adding perspective correction or texture filtering to improve the graphics.
Perhaps those are options you can set in the system? Just like there are filters on the NES/SNES classic, I'd imagine there will be something similar on this.
'letsa-wait' there letsa-go.. ;)
@darthv72 lol I hope you are right. It would be nice to play these games without the graphical issues that plagued the system when it was first out. That was the whole reason I avoided it in the first place! I don't even mind the lack of texture filtering as long as they get perspective correction in there. Warped textures and polygons are so ugly!
you don't know if they have done that.. it was on PS2 already and this one has HDMI.
i am pretty sure the smooth filter will be available.
Cute idea but the 5 games shown I really don't care about. I have FFVII on my PS4 Pro in HD the other 4 is a meh. For $99 the 15 not shown would have to have some must play titles otherwise I'll pass.
I'm honestly more disappointed on the fact that it only contains 20 titles?! Come on Sony! So many amazing ps1 classics, at least give us 50 games! I'd buy it in a heartbeat!
Dont worry, someone will hack it and you will be able to add more games. Just like the Nintendo classic and SNES Classic.
it all depends on how much internal storage. I mean a PS1 game would take up about 650 MB (Assuming they used a full CD). FFVII was several CDs though. I don't think you are going to have a ton of space on this thing. 32GB of internal storage tops, but 16 is a possibility.
25 seems right. Especially if it is meant to coincide with the 25th anniversary of the PS1.
That means that we should be expecting a mini PS2 with 20 games for its 20th anniversary.
Exactly what I thought. What games wil be on it that I can't get on PSN network or something else? Is Syphon Filter a sony game?
OMG...this is real?? official from Sony?? when I first see this news, I thought some cheapfvck from China is making the replica with Raspberry Pi and selling it with the PS1 case. LOL
I don't know why Sony feels they should do this because this obviously mimics the NES and SNES mini but at the same time, it looks like there are huge demands for these mini consoles. the gaming market is in a weird place right now, so who knows.
I think it's about appreciating our videogame history as much as our future. Plus all the kids that got to experience the birth of 'true' console gaming (I say true in that before Nintendo and Sega fueled the industry, there wasn't a huge console market) are now middle aged like me, and we like the idea of these things live on. I have my kids playing the NES and SNES minis right now. It's definitely a great thing. I do agree that if not for the success of the Nintendo minis Sony would probably not be creating this, but at the same time they could've been planning this for a while and just waiting for the right time. Who knows how long Nintendo sat on the idea.
There is definitely a a demand for retro gaming. This is why the Nintendo minis are doing so well and Sony wants in with a classic of their own, (if this is true).
No DualShock? Wtf man that really limits the amount of games on this thing.
Plus I don’t want to play any 3D game with a D-Pad
Doesn't really limit it as every ps1 game had to be able to use the original controller the system launched with.
But it still sucks because some games just play better with the analog sticks.
If It has usb connections, I wonder if you can just connect as ds3 or ds4
It plays what I want to play. If I wanted to play with a DS4, then i would rather just have a remaster, tbh...
There's cash to be made on nostalgia.
It mimicking the NES/SNES Mini is really a non-matter.
Not like Nintendo was the first to do this.
It just shows Nintendo are the true market leaders/trendsetters. Everyone else just follows.
Well Nintendo are certainly following in terms of console sales.
After 5 years and 80m consoles sold, the PS4 continues to sell incredibly well.
For the price I’d expect better selection of games
Put one game of a series on there then put them all on
w00t! Jumping Flash?? Played the hell out of it back in the day. This is looking enticing. I really hope Battle Arena Toshinden will be on there too.
Tell me about it
They should have added on from the PS3 not scrap them. I bought a ton.
Sony can’t port PS1 Classics directly from PS3/PSP/Vita/Xperia because the PS4 version would need to be coded to have Trophies, Livestreaming, Activity Feeds, & Share Play just like the PS2 Classics before them.
However that’s still no reason for PS4 to still not have its own set of PS1 Classics at the moment. This announcement is further salt in the wound
No, they don't need any of those things. All they need is to be playable just like they were on the PS1, PS2 and every PS3 sku.
Yes they do. Every game on the PS4 incorporates that feature and it’s impossible for them to take them out
If they could simply take the features out they would’ve done so for the PS2 Classics
Yes and I was born yesterday https://media.giphy.com/med... They did it as an excuse to sell them... again. As an excuse to not make the emulator they're running from available to use as soon as you put a PS2 disk or even download the games that people bought from the PSN last gen. Hell I wouldn't even be surprised if the emulator that allows the PS4 to run PS2 games was an updated version of the same emulator that was installed in the PS3 skus that didn't have PS2 chip otherwise they wouldn't be able to run those games bought from the psn BUT we can't run a PS2 disk on those consoles. I wonder why.... but I don't at the $$$$ame time.
Sony has been making their stance on BC very clear since they removed the emulator that came in the PS3 80 GB phat models in an update and then started selling ps2 games on the PSN. They see the demand for retro games and they're trying to make as much money out of them as they can. In fact I would be more surprised if the PS5 had BC than I would be if it didn't have it.
That's what I was thinking. I'd probably spend more than $100 for older games.
Of course, I have a full bc ps3, and hundreds of ps1 physical games, so I see no need for this console, and while it's a neat collectible, I don't think it's worth $100 consoderin you can buy a used ps1 with 20+ games for half that price, or just bump up to a ps2 and 20+ games for $100.
I just Sony does it right and make it so we only need to own 1 PS1 mini and we either DL games from the store or we use Discs (that have 50+ games on them).
I'm going to sit back and wait to see if the homebrew community can crack this one wide open like they did the nes and snes classic.
Basically if you can usb load all your games and rig it to support dual shock I'm in.
Way to many classics to just pick, 20 games.
Spyro, crash and tony hawk take 10 alone
I don't know how much liberty they got for licensing. But hoping on seeing some classics. Castlevania SOTN, MGS, Resident Evil, Silent Hill, Syphon Filter, Crash Bandicoot, Spyro, Medievil, Tomb Raider, Nightmare Creatures, Legacy of Kain, Twisted Metal, Parappa, etc. To this day the PS1 is still my favorite console of all time. I hope they cherry pick the best of the best for this!
Medievel is their IP. In fact a remaster was announced some time ago. Hopefully we'll see it at TGS or Sony's own conference later this year (don't remember its name)
verrry nice, i actually thought it was a joke t first, but now i know what to get my wee bro for Christmas ahaha
I'm praying they will have resident evil 2. But looking at the controllers there not the dual shock ones so probably not
Resident Evil 2 received multiple versions yet the majority were based on the DualShock version as new modes and options were included
undertaker, but you still couldn't move with sticks, only rumble and new modes were added, nothing substantial
32-bit 3D games? Pass. PS1 hasn’t aged well at all. I don’t be want any classic consoles past the 16-bit ones.
Christmas, sorted. My son will loooove this!! by the gods, have MGS or Resident Evil in there too!
I never buy these classic systems but this is the best one yet. I would name the Neo Geo one the best but it has some problems.
How is this the best one? It's the most expensive with the least amount of games. And they couldn't even include the dual analog controllers.
How can you say it’s the best one yet when it hasn’t been released? Only a few games announced and a higher price tag the the Snes/nes mini? How did you come to this conclusion?
My biggest problem with those classic console remakes is that there is no built-in way to get more games on the system. They should've either made them compatible with the original game discs and cartridges or make a online store and add additional games as time goes by.
Besides they need to nail the A/V emulation and upscaling (which is not easy to do) while having low imput lag. Not having analog sticks on the Controllers is already a huge let down.
For collectors this will be cool I guess. And while the PS1 is my 2nd favorite console of all time, honestly I'm a bit disappointed at this. It should've came with a Dualshock instead of the OG controller. It wasn't the first but still a huge part of the console's lifecycle. And I think 20 games is too little, maybe shoulda had 30-50.
Sony does this but yet can't release original Playstation Titles on PS4? Really Sony?
this is awesome, but i want to see all 20 games before spending 100 bucks plus the adaptor (not included).
if they put legend of dragoon, tomba, medievil, gex, ape escape and soul reaver at least i'll buy it at day one.
i can understand if they don't put crash and spyro in it, with the remakes existing.
i'd preferred final fantasy 8 instead of 7, the latter is already on ps4 and FF8 is more iconic for me.
Sony please add Crash Team Racing, MediEvil, Micro Maniacs, Battle Arena Toshinden
It's releasing at Christmas time, and Sony won't pull that artificial shortage shit Nintendo does with their mini-consoles, so I expect Sony to make a FUCKTON of money with this.
And to those people bitching that this is to capitalize on the fad for mini consoles, so what?! It's adorable and a great collector's item for nostalgia's sake, the 20 games will probably be some of the greatest games ever and it's barely been announced, we'll probably get news of expansion capability later. Personally, I'm psyched.
Should have let you pop the lid to at least reveal some plug in options. Or just to, you know, pop the lid. That was always a satisfying thing to do on the original to put a new game in.
It's still a nice little thing to have to sit next to the NES, SNES and eventual N64 mini's. Not that I own any of them, mind.
A friend and I would start a match of Battle Arena Toshinden. once the battle started, we popped the lid, took the disc out, and put the mortal kombat OST disc in. We thought it was hilarious to fight with some random techno song from the movie.....Test your might....
So instead of offering backwards compatibility, and the ability to use a dualshock4, they copy nintendo. Going to be a paint to play 3d games, but I guess people are buying these. going to need a million consoles hooked to your tv at this rate.
PS4 can’t offer true backwards compatibility. Both this product and the PS4 have no CD capabilities.
Awkward when the PSOne was created to show what CD storage could do for gaming.
Blu Ray drives can read cd’s.
All it would need is an update.
@2pacalypsenow: That’s not how it works. You should look up what a diode is. The PS4 Blu-Ray drive does not have the physical component to read CDs in its Blu-Ray drive. The one in the PS4 is solely for Blu-Ray.
Some PS3s had multiple lenses in their BD drives. Some went to a single lense that read both. PS4 went to one with no CD and that’s not something an update will fix.
Surely anybody that uses an Emulator can see how crap and over priced these things are. Just cheap cash grabs.
You know what would be a better idea? bringing PS1 games to the PS4.
I hear what you are saying. personally I wouldn't buy any PS1 games on the PS4, but would be more inclined to buy this to plug and play some classics for a few days. Jump around the titles quickly for nostalgia sake. But I would be too lazy to buy, download, and play these classics individually just for some quick fun.
I did the same thing with the Atari version they released. It was fun for a VERY limited time, but then I never went back. So maybe getting those nostalgic dollars and putting this in one package is more lucrative than getting all those games on PS4. I want it for the reasons said, but probably gonna pass because I know it will just sit collecting dust after my initial 'wow' factor wears off.
I agree they are overpriced for what it is, but convenience is a pretty powerful selling point when reliving good memories cloud your judgment.
For $100 that’s $5 dollars a game.
You can’t buy all these games for under $100.
And people that emulate don’t buy games, so that comparison is useless.
Sega, we're waiting for you now. It's time you guys came back into the hardware business for a bit!
Then we'll wait for Panasonic to make a comeback with a 3DO Mini, and Atari with a Jaguar Mini... LOL
It's cool, but I won't buy it. I really would prefer the PS4 get PS1 Classics support so all those games I bought on my PS3 can be played on the PS4. I've totally stopped buying digital games on any platform except PC because I don't trust that any console maker will allow me to have access to my downloadable titles from the previous generation on their next-gen systems. I never expected all those games I was buying on my PS3 (and I don't mean digital full PS3 titles like say Little Big Planet, but rather PS1 Classics downloadable games and I believe even the "smaller" PSN games, things like Flow, Flower, Journey ... and thankfully, they DID make PS4 versions of those 3 games and give them away to all PS3 edition owners for free, which is awesome, but I for stupid reason expected that they would just be backwards compatible with the original versions, which the PS4 does in fact NOT support). Don't even get me started on the Wii Virtual Console! I bought like 100 games through that, because for the first time I could legally support the publishers of these games and own legal digital versions that were easy to access. I paid good money for all of my favorite NES/SNES/N64/TurboGrafx games. And now I've got a Switch, and... nothing. I can't download or a play a single one of those on it. It's so disrespectful to your customers, I think, to sell digital goods and then the next console generation comes and it all still sits there in the past. No reason that you can't support those same digital products on your new console whenever you bring one out. It should have been a key design principle, you make a new console, you gotta get in that support for all your customers' past digital purchases! Anyway, that's the end of my little rant.
Looks like you were lucky enough to get them before Nintendo shut down most of the rom sites.
Then this isn't for you. It's simple here. If you don't like what they're offering or don't see a reason to get it, don't buy it . Just like the people who keep bringing up BC. This is a limited edition item, like the nes mini. People that want it will buy it, and the people that love to complain will keep complaining. That's how it's always been.
Because they can’t create a product to read CDs even though one of the big selling points of the PSOne was its CD capabilities?
@BazzAckwards Nintendo even copied the Neogeo X with the Nintendo Switch. A console you can use portably or connect it to the dock and play on the TV.
True but I don't think it had base and not all games could be used with a dualshock controller.
AWWWW MAN!! I wouldn't think Sony would "BITE" off Nintendo and make a mini-unit of their classic generations games. Oh well.
Kinda disappointed. It costs more than the NES/SNES Classics, AC adapter sold separately, has less games, and it doesn't use the dual analog controllers. Looking at the titles they're using to get people excited, and the lack of analogs, big games like GT and MGS seem unlikely. A lot of the later PS1 games really needed the analogs, they played like crap with the dpad.
I passed on the Ninty classics and I was waiting for PS to really knock it out of the park with this one. It's just really disappointing. There was so much potential here.
And the CD drive in this is purely cosmetic so no possibility of playing PSOne titles you already have around
The 5 games they chose to use at the reveal make me question whether they will have the games that make me nostalgic for the PS1. Because none of those games are on my personal top 10 list. It is just hard to justify $100 for 20 games.
Games that remind me of the good times playing PS1 and that I would like to see added.
Metal Gear Solid (Highly doubtful but it is the number 1 PS1 experience to me).
Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2 (One was great but 2 seems more polished)
GTA, GTA:London 1969, and GTA2
Hot Shots Golf 2
Twisted Metal
Tomba and Tomba 2
Crash Bandicoot
FF Tactics
Spyro
Wipeout
Casltvania
Gran Turismo 2
Many more, I didnt hit barely any of the RPGs and I also played a lot of Diablo on the PS1
Honorable mention: Ape Escape
Legend of Dragoon, Vagrant Story, and the Chrono’s aren’t in your honorable mentions? Ok then.
This is fantastic. I hope other companies see the potential. Maybe Sega will release a Dreamcast Classic!
PS1 as no value since you can play all it's games on PS2 and PS3, this is even more expencive them a used PS3, and a PS2 is less them half this price.
Are people seriously complaining about no ac adapter? You know those cables have been getting with mobile phones for the past 10 years. Or the cable that came with your PS4, XB1 controller that will do just fine. Seriously I think I have like 30+ of those damn micro USB cables in my desk draw.
These mini consoles are a gimmick I got over really quickly, glad I didn't waste my money on the Nintendo ones. But if this has the original Resident Evil, Silent Hill, Metal Gear Solid, GTA, Parasite Eve, Dino Crisis, Tomb Raider then it would be pretty tempting as I never actually played any of them.
Hey all,
It’s not for anyone here to buy themselves.
It’s a gift item and that’s why it will sell and will make some money. That’s fine with me.
What’s not fine is no backward compatibility on the main consoles. If it’s so they can release this kind of product then I’m pretty pissed.
If they’re cool, they’ll release this for Christmas, make their cash from aunties and uncles etc and then bring more backward compatibility to digital and PS4.
I would get this if there is a chance to add games to it as easy as it is for the Nintendo minis.
Now we need Sega to "officially" release one for Genesis and Dreamcast.
Sad to hear the Sega Mini got delayed. Perhaps they heard all the complaints about ATGames?
Figures there would be nintendo fanboys talking trash. Zero f's given. This is what I wanted besides an n64 and ps2 mini.
I will buy it if it have Legend of Dragoon and trophies ! =D oh and Musashi and Breath of Fire 3
it'll not be worth ordering until I know what other titles are included... even the few mantioned so far are not that interesting to me tbh... could have at least put the first few months of PS1 launch titles on the machine... BattleArenaToshinden, RidgeRacer, SoulCaliber, DestuctionDerby, to name a few...
Sweet! I should never have gotten rid of my PS1 and my copy of Tekken 3. I might check this out.
Forget who copied who, SONY granted my wish for this system!!!! I’m totally getting this
Gonna by one or two, one for myself and one to sell to some stupid rich kid off ebay when there sold out just b4 Xmas 😋🎅🤯$$$ $ $$$🤡
• Meh first PS1 was trash. Not till PS3 was it amazing. Had PS2 but never played it so can't comment (was doing other activities lol)
• Sony is BOSS now with PS4.
• I want a Dreamcast although I still have mine so not truly needed.
• Perhaps a Nin Gamecube?
I am excited for Microsoft to announce the Xbox classic with the bulky controller that is bigger than the console.
I snagged it out of pure nostalgia. I don’t really want to play any of he games shown lol.
I'll pass, emulation is the far superior option and no limits on games. It would be different if they added a functioning disk drive
Holy crap. I'm going to have to get one. I'll take it with me when we travel, and when we go to our camper.
It’s just a good idea and the success rate has been proven twice. If you have legacy systems it would be dumb to not put them out right now. Dreamcast! It’s not idea theft it’s just business. They all copy each other and try to create a new standard. Oh Nintendo online console service, Microsoft’s idea lol.
Not into these. I have the entire NES and SNES catalog on PC so I passed on those too.
PS1 era hasn’t aged as well. Those early 3D polygons and fixed cameras are rough. In this particular case I’d rather play a remake like RE1, RE2, Twin Snakes, Crash, Metroid Zero Mission, Halo Anniversary, FF7. Hope PS Classic at least has Silent Hill.
These systems are cool and all, but I really don't have the time anymore for "Nostalgia gaming". As far as the ensuing chicken and the egg conversations, my head hurts reading this crap. Ugh.
My issue is that I will prolly have most of the games, with the NES and SNES, I was too young to buy games on my own.
Surely RE 2, Twisted Metal, Gran Turismo 1&2, Spyro, Crash, MGS, Tony Hawk Pro Skater etc would be the big money-getters?
I wonder what the cover thing is for on the back side (left side as viewed from the back)? Any chance this thing is just a repackaged Vita TV and there's a slot there for Vita carts and/or memory cards?
It must have Castlevania Symphony of the night, Resident Evil 2, Metal Gear Solid Tactical Espionage, Einhander. All my old school buddies know what I'm talking about.
I actually have a couple of questions regarding this that the article didn't touch:
Are we able to access our older save data in some way/form? I know it says you can't use memory cards but what about us who still have the Memory Card reader for the PS3?
Will there be Dual Shock controllers released in the future?
This is cool, and I’m on board but I do wish they included the dual shock controllers as opposed to the originals w/out analog sticks.
