The trip to PC that Tales from Space: Mutant Blobs Attack has gone through has definitely been unique. The game began life as a downloadable PlayStation Vita exclusive back in February and received rave reviews.
Mutant Blobs Attack was clearly designed for the Vita. It takes advantage of the Vita’s unique controls by implementing buttons, touch and motion control. It’s curious, then, that the game has now made its way to PC where motion control and touch screens are notably absent. Nevertheless Drinkbox Studios has done their best to fit their game to work with the mouse and keyboard crowd.
From PSU: "Limited Run Games (LRG) announced at E3 2019 the final list of physical releases of PlayStation Vita game. LRG has been one of the only remaining supporters of Sony’s long-forgotten handheld. Many fans love LRG for this service, but all good things must come to an end."
SXO: Tales from Space: Mutant Blobs attack originally came out as a PSVita launch title back in 2012, created by the same developer that would eventually give us the hit Luchador game Guacamelee! The added touch screen mechanics have stayed the same, meaning this Switch version feels perfect for this game.
DrinkBox Studios has announced that their classic puzzle platformer Tales From Space: Mutant Blobs Attack launches on Nintendo Switch today for $9.99 / €9.99.
