doesn't matter where they expand to, I'm not buying into your desperate attempt to replicate the success of steam. Here is an idea, Be creative and create your own success rather than leeching off the new success story.

Why wouldn't they? It's the same reason why we have XBOX Live and PSN and Nintendo Network, to be competitive and to offer consumers choices. Yes people prefer Steam but that doesn't mean we should only have Steam. Should we only have iTunes selling music digitally?

EA already ran me away from buying their games on PC because of Origin and i'll do the same on console

DeadlyFire4690d ago

I don't see the point of having Steam or Origin on a console. Microsoft, Sony, and Nintendo all have their own stores, friends lists, and messaging systems.

The only point for EA would be to cut out the middle man in delivering their software to these devices. However there is no way the Big 3 would allow such a thing to be released on their systems. Even if EA cut them in on the revenues, it just adds an extra level for the consumer to have to go through to get a product.

Is this a threat?
They shouldn't threat their consumers.

If they remove the browser requirement I'd be more optimistic, but there's still stuff that needs to be changed which seems to be set in stone at the moment.

Absolutely insane. Man I'm hope they land on their feet EA needs to get the shit together badly....

This is why this industry has slow releases and none compelling games.

Why would anyone willingly work in the VG industry or specifically for one of these globocorp organizations that put you in constant fear of losing your livelihood based on terrible choices made by idiotic management, not the people with talent making the actual games?
