Mars: War Logs has been revealed today at Gamescom with this début trailer by French development team, Spiders. War Logs, due for release next year, is an RPG set on the Red Planet where you take control of Roy Temperance a century after a catastrophe sent the planet into chaos.
Spiders are set to announce their first new game under new parent company, Nacon. A tweet shows an intriguing image of what may be announced on July 7th.

Hardcore Gamer: Spiders make no apology for directly borrowing from the giants of contemporary RPGs. Why should they; if something works, that’s viable enough an argument to use it. But there’s a certain degree of respect to be taken from a team who don’t intently go out of their way to dress something up as different when, in truth, it’s far from.

I remember this when It was just called Mars. The mechanics always sounded kinda interesting, it felt like a smaller scale fallout really. This was revealed years ago, good to see it is actually coming to fruition.
Looks to be an RPG with close combat.
They should've revealed it the day after NASA landed Curiosity. lolz
