Because of the still-thriving arcade culture there, Japanese developers are at the forefront of the 'Bullet Hell' Shmup genre, and it is from this creative pool where the eXceed series comes. This series consists of three Dojin games: Gun Bullet Children, Vampire REX, and Jade Penetrate Black Package. VGW: Nyu Media continues to roll out one delightfully obscure indie Japanese PC title after another, but with the eXceed Collection, they’ve upped the ante by offering a trio of vertical bullet hell arcade shooters for the cost of lunch out. eXceed Collection chronicles the eXceed series by Japanese indie developer Tonnen-sozai, who, unsurprisingly, made a name for themselves in their home country through their quality shooters. Now that the eXceed Collection is finally on Steam, Tonnen-sozai has the opportunity to reach a broader audience.
Nyu Media in partnership with Capcom has finally revealed the eXceed Collection's Steam Release.
