Eternal Journey: New Atlantis is an exploratory hidden object adventure game that takes you from the depths of the Atlantic to the heights of the red planet Mars. Amrite, the heroine is an archeologist who along with her fiancé Michael explores the lost world of Atlantis. Along their journey hijinks ensue and Michael is missing. It is here that Amrite begins her quest not only to uncover the secrets of this lost world but also to find her lost love.
DHGF: Despite the thin storyline and mindless plot, Eternal Journey: New Atlantis delivers for those familiar with the hidden object genre. This is only if, however, your goal should be to challenge yourself with puzzles and mini-games, both of which are infantile in conceptualization and difficulty. The visuals, though stunning and breathtaking in limited glimpses, generally fall short with miscued dialogue and an outdated engine. Overall, if you are a fan of HO games and like the casual appeal, you’ll have an afternoon or two of entertainment to be sure.
Aptly timed to coincide with the Mars landing comes a new hidden object adventure from Alawar Entertainment, not afraid to go a little dark on its casual-gaming fans.
