MUD is a fantasy MMO currently in development by Purebang Games, and inspired by old-school Multi-User Dungeons (M.U.D.s), Minecraft and other sandbox games.
It’s not always easy to come up with the next great idea, or a new and imaginative story or ground breaking game mechanics. That is easily in evidence by looking at all of the sequels that video game developers and publishers are pumping out. Then there are the remakes, such as GoldenEye, which was a bomb. What is a game developer to do? What if a developer went in the opposite direction? What would happen if a game swam upstream instead of downstream? The result would be a “demake,” not to be confused as a “remake” or a sequel. Demakes are current games that have been turned into old classic 8-bit style games.
