Nicklas "Nifflas" Nygren has confirmed that Knytt Underground, sequel to popular freeware indie games, Knytt and Knytt Stories, will appear on the PS3 and Vita, alongside versions for Windows, Mac and Linux.
Knytt Underground is a huge, wonderful game, one that offers a large, undiscovered world that comes with secret areas, new worlds, and enough rooms to keep players coming back for more. Knytt Underground may not be for everyone: anyone looking for a stronger story and more action won’t find it here. I was blown away by this game. I started it a while back and keep going back to it now and then. Today I entered chapter two and became a bouncing ball! I simply did not know that this game was so diverse. I urge everyone to get this immediately.
There are swarms of free indie games out there today - Zoe Quinn asks why not collect and share collections of them like we do with music and mixtapes?

It's hard to take in the atmosphere to a game when some grizzled soldier or companion is egging you down a linear storyline. Knytt Stories, by independent developer Nifflas, takes this sad mold that modern developers have created and shatters it into a million beautiful pieces, proving that simplicity comes out over complexity any day.
Cool. It would be nice if he was able to put the original oto the PSn for PS3/ PSV (even PSP) as a free download.
