The initial batch of units have an audio drop bug that manifests itself at random times. We confirmed the bug in our review hardware. While minor, it is noticeably present throughout all types of use.
We reached out to Astro for comment and the company confirmed that there was an issue with the A50's firmware and that it would be addressed in an upcoming patch. The company did not set a firm date for the patch, though it does expect to release the firmware update in the near future."

The Astro A50 is a premium pair of headphones that are a perfect fit for gaming - which is good, as they can’t do much else.
COGconnected: Astro A50's have consistently been considered one of the best headsets in the gaming audio market. Astro recently released generation 4 of the A50 and once again these cans deliver a superb audio experience.
I've been using A40s for about 8 years. I really don't recommend them. There are better options that cost less. You're paying a hefty "gamer tax" with Astro.
Wha...headphones have firmware now? I never knew.(honesty)
