The first Mini Ninja game was a fun game to play that was entertaining to play and really simple so that anyone could pick it up and have a go at it. Mini Ninjas Adventures tries to replicate this for Kinect, but it hits a few snags along the way.
Brash Games writes "Despite its handful of technical deficiencies, Mini Ninjas Adventures, thanks to its strong core concept, utterly gorgeous visuals and underlying charm, overcomes its problems to stand proud as one of the finest Kinect games to date".
OXM UK: "Mini Ninjas Adventures is a good Kinect game. And that means, necessarily, that it's a simple Kinect game. It knows the limitations within which it must, at least for now, work. And it plays cleverly inside them. This is a game of sidestepping and natural movements that don't require split-second timing - but still manage to reward skill."
OXM: "Cutesy enemies fling arrows and swing swords at the brave ninja standing in their way — you. Luckily, you can fight back...if you can get Kinect to recognize your movements."
