So, Can Console Gamers Expect A Better Diablo III Iteration?

As Blizzard continues to work on a game they're admittedly not happy with, can console gamers expect a more stable version (if that version comes)?

why would they, the game has sold over 10 million on pc, why make a sub-hd port with bad controls and terrible framerate that would dirty the view of this excellent game

im not trying to be an asshole, its just console games are low resolution, have lots of jaggies and run terrible this late in the gen

Diablo 3 is meant to be played in high resolution, at 60 frames, with a keyboard and mouse.

if you want to play a game that looks and plays like torchlight, get torchlight, im sure its in the bargin bin somewhere

there is almost ZERO chance of blizzard bothering to port this, I am quite sure they are focused on starcraft 2 HotS, world of warcraft expo, their new mmo, and hopefully warcraft 4

making a crappy version of a game that will sell 15 million by the end of the year and needing to invest a ton in advertising and making crappy plastic cases and paying off gamestop, microsoft and sony , why bother

console games besides call of duty and halo sell like crap

Super-Ultra-Uber Complicated business Answer:

TO TRY AND SELL 10 MILLION MORE.

Taquito clearly has no business knowledge or tech knowledge. Diablo isn't that extreme game graphics wise. see no reason why consoles cant do it at 60 frames and both the main consoles support Keyboard and mouse.

And it would sell alot more which makes them money so the question is why not.

Jason1434315d ago

They better pray it doesnt hit consoles. it is awfull

CommonSenseGamer4315d ago

Don't think its a terrible game but for some reason this time round I found it quite a dull experience.

Ziggyvertang4314d ago

If they get good controls why not. the graphics of it are not that extreme the consoles will be able to handle it without a problem. plus if they put in keyboard and mouse controls aswell then it gives console fans the same gameplay as on the PC. I think this game should get the go ahead. make sure it's a good port and have good controls and just chuck in K+M support aswell and i will buy it again

Cyberpunk and No Man's Sky have to be up there. We're lucky and cursed, equally, to have games that can be updated now. For folks old enough to remember the Sega/SNES into PS1 and even 2 eras, if a game came out that was half baked (*cough*Angel of Darkness*cough*) that was it, no redemption. At the same time, having the option for updates shouldn't be an excuse for half assing games.

I remember when the Nintendo Seal of Approval meant something.

All those games had to release without bugs.

Comebacks shouldnt be a thing in videogames. Just saying.

Diablo III - Still a Huge Draw in the Face of Diablo IV

Diablo III still works on modern PlayStation and Xbox consoles, and remains hugely playable a decade after initial release.

Palitera413d ago

Are you comparing a continuously improved 10+ years old masterpiece with the... beta of an unreleased game?

kevco33412d ago

Heh, yeah. There's no comparison in here! Its a commentary on how III is still very playable over a decade later.
