Joss Whedon Would “Very Much” Like A Game Based On Firefly – MMO Just “Disappeared”

Speaking at a panel at Nerd HQ during this years Comic-Con, Joss Whedon has said would very much like to have a videogame based on his cult sci-fi show, Firefly.

That was pretty much what I was like when I was typing this news story up. Except for the PS4 bit. I was like, "Now, please"

I'd like a game based on the "firefly" series without any compromise or limitations that a lot of devs had to deal with this gen. I also wouldn't like Kinect, wiimote , or ps move support in it to mess up gameplay.

I'd like all games that I'm interested in to be brought over to next gen system because I would love better tech than we have now this gen.

Hehe, yeah, I know where you're coming from. The thing is, a lot of the same limitations that dev's deal with in this generation are still actually going to be present in the next gen as well. But yeah, they'll have more room to work with, and if we wanted at least a two or three year development cycle on the game then it would almost have to be a next-gen game.

As I said in the news article itself, I'd personally love to see CD Projekt work with Joss to bring it to life, as I feel they'd suit the Firefly style very well. Bioware for many would be an obvious choice, and for good reason, but they've gotten to do their epic sci-fi games so let's let somebody else get a chance :D Not to mention that I feel CD Projekt handle moral decisions better: they understand that it's not just black and white, so that would fit into the Firely universe beautifully

Yup the PS4 which will be the greatest video game platform next gen would be the perfect system to develop this or any game in society. I am sure if sony get this game a exclusive it would extremely perfect.
