It's all about teh graphics for most people.

shutUpAndTakeMyMoney4308d ago

For me it's Graphics, Ai, Physics, Animation.
But BF4 might be 64bit Only game since they want to use 4gb of ram.

Well 64-bit has been around for a decade maybe? Its time for them to fully adopt it in video games so we can progress to 128-bit in 2015 or whenever. Either way its expected before 2020. Microsoft has made Windows 8 128-bit ready. At least well they have prepped the first stages of 128-bit software in the background.

Well either way the 64/128 bit era is about to begin and last awhile. Funny thing is new console generation is going to launch right before it begins I believe.

I'd like 4k or 8k resolution with better graphics. Id also like improved ai with controllers with more force feedback

Godmars2904308d ago

How about a return to telling a game's story through gameplay?

With all the controversy surrounding ME3 and Diablo 3, in thing I've notice is that the Japanese aren't the only ones who have come to rely on cutscenes and non-interactive gameplay to deliver lackluster stories. There's no subtly or slow development anymore.

F*** graphics.

Patriots_Pride4308d ago

Hell yeah!! This is why Half Life is Boss.

If I wanted 90 minutes of CGI I would go to the movies.

bunt-custardly4308d ago

I like cut scenes as much as the next guy, but I have to agree somewhat. They should take a back seat to self discovery. Today's busy gamers don't have the time though.

Sonys first next gen game.

Kingnichendrix4308d ago

But they also got to have bigger maps, MW3 annoyed me because there were too many corridors and little room and it felt cramp and if you like sniping its pretty annoying. Soo I would say also think about map type which suit different gamers so they make much more balanced.

cregoryjames4307d ago

@kingnichendrix I have to disagree to an extent. I would like "bigger" maps in the sense that I would like more complex maps. I thoroughly enjoy the realistic aspect of CQB. It's a vital part of real warfare.

sandman2244308d ago

I agree with 60fps. That is a must. Plus no scream tear and they better hook the graphics up. That's enough to please my needs.

sandman2244308d ago

Screen. I'll blame it on my iPhone.

I know what you meant really, I was just kidding. :P

Zelda Replay: Majora's Mask

VGChartz's Evan Norris: "Is Ocarina of Time as legendary as I remembered it? For the most part, yes. In spite of a handful of missteps — a few obtuse puzzles, some tedious backtracking, and a clunky stealth sequence — I don't believe the last 23 years have been unkind to it. Ocarina remains a brilliant example of the medium, a landmark game that shaped the future of its own franchise and 3D gaming in general. After more than two decades it retains its inventive dungeon design, challenging puzzles, dynamic combat, wistful storyline, unforgettable music, and empowering open-air freedom. I feel confident calling it one of the greatest games of the fifth generation, even if I'm no longer prepared to list it among the five best games ever made."

Pure unadulterated fun. They don't make them like this anymore...especially not the triple A industry.

FinalFantasyFanatic5d ago

Back when video rental was a thing, I rented out Majoria's Mask, I never finished it though. I did buy the 3DS version before the eshop shutdown, so maybe one day I'll finally play through the whole thing, it's amazing how well these games hold up though. I briefly played Ocarina of Time for a while and it was really fun.
