Forget graphics, what about changes to the gameplay. Take a look at some most wanted gaming changes for next generation gaming.
It's all about teh graphics for most people.
For me it's Graphics, Ai, Physics, Animation. But BF4 might be 64bit Only game since they want to use 4gb of ram. http://www.engadget.com/201...
Well 64-bit has been around for a decade maybe? Its time for them to fully adopt it in video games so we can progress to 128-bit in 2015 or whenever. Either way its expected before 2020. Microsoft has made Windows 8 128-bit ready. At least well they have prepped the first stages of 128-bit software in the background. Well either way the 64/128 bit era is about to begin and last awhile. Funny thing is new console generation is going to launch right before it begins I believe.
I'd like 4k or 8k resolution with better graphics. Id also like improved ai with controllers with more force feedback
How about a return to telling a game's story through gameplay? With all the controversy surrounding ME3 and Diablo 3, in thing I've notice is that the Japanese aren't the only ones who have come to rely on cutscenes and non-interactive gameplay to deliver lackluster stories. There's no subtly or slow development anymore. F*** graphics.
Hell yeah!! This is why Half Life is Boss. If I wanted 90 minutes of CGI I would go to the movies.
I like cut scenes as much as the next guy, but I have to agree somewhat. They should take a back seat to self discovery. Today's busy gamers don't have the time though.
More realistic destruction Better Ai Less dlc Less multiplayer tacked on hames that don't need it. Less bugs/glitches Better Graphics Stable 60fps 1080p Less focus on Motion Control Games (but still available) One disk games, not 2-3 disks. Free Online Quality Hardware Quality Software Less spin-offs. Good Price Point. Backwards Compatible ps4/vita connectivity.
Less multiplayer tacked on "Games" that don't need it.
Increase in the number of player's online i'll be happy with 40 vs 40.
lol 666 vs 666 vs 666 with good graphics, 64 square kilometer map , Nvidia Physx & 24/7 battles (no 30 min matches) is coming end of this year. http://www.youtube.com/watc... Sonys first next gen game.
But they also got to have bigger maps, MW3 annoyed me because there were too many corridors and little room and it felt cramp and if you like sniping its pretty annoying. Soo I would say also think about map type which suit different gamers so they make much more balanced.
@kingnichendrix I have to disagree to an extent. I would like "bigger" maps in the sense that I would like more complex maps. I thoroughly enjoy the realistic aspect of CQB. It's a vital part of real warfare.
I agree with 60fps. That is a must. Plus no scream tear and they better hook the graphics up. That's enough to please my needs.
Screen. I'll blame it on my iPhone.
I know what you meant really, I was just kidding. :P
No mandatory installations. Less Loading times. Better AI Better environments Realtime textures Improved physics
Access to everything that you could in real life. Doors all work. Drawers can open. Not less load times. No load times. More ways of accomplishing something. True open world. Enter a building from the roof if you have a way to get up there. Not just the front door.
It doesn't matter to me if the graphics in general are pretty much the same as in current-gen consoles. What I want to see improvements in is animations, physics and AI.
I agree with this list but what is jarring to me and takes me out of a game is poor animation.
lol so from what I hear you guys & girls want a gaming pc. even the picture looks like a desktop.
Gameplay is must when it comes to improvements we all know the next gen will have awesome graphics but I feel gameplay is key
