Fallout: New Vegas Technical Producer launches Kickstarter

With the constant cut backs at game studios throughout Southern California. (And the industry for that matter) We are seeing a number of new independent studios arise. Using sites like Kickstarter to raise the funds for a project from the begining.

This is the latest from the recent cutbacks at Obsidian and Blizzard. With the leadership of Jason Fader, Technical Producer from Fallout: New Vegas, this should be just the start.

A brief summary of the game:

"Steam Bandits: Outpost will be a Free-to-Play casual game for mobile devices and PC/Mac. In the game, you play as the newly-hired overseer of a burgeoning trade outpost in the floating world of Stratos. Your employer, Atmid Industries, has given you but one objective: make your island into the biggest trade hub you can. Armed with only a handful of gold and your dashingly good looks, it’s up to you to build up your town (literally), attract permanent residents, and learn how to deal with traveling merchants and captains in order to maximize your profit. It’s a tough job, but success will earn you a place as one of the richest, most stylish denizens of Stratos."
