"While loading up London 2012 for the first time, I did a flash-forward in my mind. During this Yoda-like glimpse into the future, I saw myself fervently banging away on my gamepad’s A button in an attempt to hit max-speed before take off in the men’s high jump event. Despite blistered thumbs, and buttons that had been worn down to nothing, future-me cleared the 8.2 meter bar shattering Olympic and World Records alike. Taking my gold-medal position on the podium, I smiled smugly down at the German on my left, while simultaneously giving the Frenchman on my right a wet-willy."
