Jason Schreier: There are a lot of disgruntled gamers out there.
For every video game series that has been abandoned or mistreated by its creators, there's a group of fans who want nothing more than to see their favorite titles restored to glory. Americans who love games like Mega Man Legends, Mother, and Valkyria Chronicles are angry. Dissatisfied. Upset at how they've been treated by the companies that claim to care about them.
One particular series of Japanese role-playing games has never really received the respect it deserves: Suikoden, a series as bizarrely titled as it is beloved. Konami, the publisher and developer behind this niche group of games, seems completely out of touch with what its players want. And a small group of fans is hoping to change that.
I won't blame you if you've never heard of Suikoden. It's tough to pronounce. If you saw it in a store, you'd probably dismiss it as just another anime RPG. And Konami's done a terrible job of marketing what could be the best set of games it has ever made.
One of the most beloved series of all time is Suikoden. So today we are going to talk about what my top 5 favorite Suikoden characters.
Wish they'd hurry with these remasters lol. I was hoping to knock them out before ec released.
The Suikoden series helped revolutionize the JRPG genre. So I decided to talk a little bit about the 27 True Runes of the Suikoden series.
Here is a Suikoden 2 recruitment guide. Follow this and make sure not to miss any of the 108 Stars of Destiny in Suikoden 2.
I only played the first Suikoden and after I beat it last year I couldn't help but wonder why Suikoden II is still not on the PSN store. I have only heard that the sequel is even better than the first game but trying to get one hard copy of Suikoden II is no easy task, the game sells online for $80 to $150 and most of them aren't in very good conditions!
I myself is a huge fan of the Suikoden series. Everyday when I go to n4g and they mention anything about rpg or Konami, I would write under the comment "Suikoden VI" hoping that someday I would see the game. Suikoden is the best of the series and I was very fortunate of buying a use hard copy for a very low price compare to the one on Ebay. Man Suikoden II is so valuable.
Suikoden II is a MASTERPIECE from the golden PSX era, it's also one of my TOP 3 all time favorite games and imo one of the best JRPG ever the fact they didn't release it yet on PSN after all those years is something I cant really comprehend, what they r thinking seriously ppl asking for it for years now on various game sites/forums etc
Also where is my Suikoden VI KONAMI? ~.~ bring the geniuses back & let them create a new wonder, something the fans will never forget, dont abandon like that one of the best JRPG series ever!
