Office Attacks: An Interview with the Indie Developers of the Cubicle Tower Defence Game, Part 1

In the upcoming iPad game Office Attacks!, players will take control of a worker at an app development company, and use rigged-up office supplies to keep time-wasting co-workers away from his desk. In addition, because an app about an app developer wasn’t meta enough, Office Attacks! will also feature parodies of other apps, played on a smaller, in-game iPad. In the first part of a two-part interview with Eli Cymet of Office Attacks!’ developer Arctic Empire, we talk about innovations to the tower defence genre, the balance of accessibility versus strategic depth, the pros and cons of Facebook Connect, and an indie perspective on the freemium model.
