Enjoyable as this new chunk of DLC is, it’s also Dice unashamedly attempting to ape Modern Warfare 3 and by doing so lure away a few of its less vehement contingent like a pied piper in camo paint. Close Quarters ditches everything Battlefield for a bit, preferring instead a giddy festival of twitch-killing that COD players will find extremely familiar and the BF3 hardcore will enjoy as a break from all the thousand-yard snipes if nothing else.
On the occasion of E3 and the fact that the mass disclose details about the upcoming Battlefield 4, EA decided to give away for free one of the most interesting additions to Battlefield 3 - Close Quarters. All well and good, but it disappeared from the PS Store.
Go into the game and it will send you a message to download it from the game. It's already free.
There is a photo attached to text showing there's no Close Quarters in in-game store. So, that doesn't help.
To celebrate the unveiling of Battlefield 4 and the 1 billion hours of Battlefield 3, the Close Quarters DLC is being given away for free to anyone that plays Battlefield 3.
I may not even buy BF4 premium. I bought Bf3 at launch for 64 dollars and premium for 49.99. Thats over 100 dollars. A couple months later they decide to sell the "Premium version" for 59.99.
The maps are alright, but the real biggie here is the weapons that come with the DLC.
My favorite weapons are pretty much all from CQ aside for the AS Val.
Nice. It's actually the only DLC i didn't buy haha.Time to jump back in the battlefield
lol so a year and a half later, they give away the worst DLC pack of the bunch. Well it's free anyway.
Why does it have to be the crappiest of all DLCs?
I couldn't stand close quarters.
FanBolt writes: "If you are like me and never had the opportunity to check out Battlefield 3, now is clearly the time to do so with the release of Battlefield 3: Premium Edition."
i would have said 8/8.5
really looking forward to the motor cross bikes though, it would be the last pack -_- lol
I give it 5/10.
10/10
if I wanted to play adhd catering, skill not needed call of duty, I'd go buy call of duty.
this map pack was a slap to the face for true battlefield fans.
EA shamelessly wants to attract cod preteens, which makes then a bit of a balding greed infested pedo imo.
I like it
