I think game developers are more bothered about casual gamers as thats where the money is nowadays. A casual gamer wouldnt know about such things as infinites or bugs as they dont play them long enough or understand the game enough to know so it wouldnt be a problem. Developers just concerntrate on producing games that are aimed at casual gamers as there is alot of them because gaming seems to be more of an accepting activity now unlike the 80s and 90s. Get called a nerd if anyone knew that you are a gamer.
Developers probably thinking "why bother with the updates? I rather concerntrate on making casual games (money)than these updates."

Capcom seriously dropped the ball with MvC Infinite. You can tell that it was heavily influenced by outside marketing that wanted to promote the characters in the MCU films only. The roster was lacking, the gameplay was slower than the previous game and there just wasn't a lot of the wackiness we come to expect.
