Your game, one that it is said has your fingerprints all over it, is my favorite videogame ever made. It is also a grimdark death trap, the ludological equivalent of whatever the shit this thing is.
Indeed, Final Fantasy XI is not for the weak of heart. It has eaten greater men than myself alive and left them nothing but a few Gil and moldy +DEX rings. It’s difficult as hell, punishing at every turn (you can fucking level down if you die too much), absurdly time-consuming, mind-numbingly opaque in what you’re supposed to do, ever, and most of all: absolutely spellbinding."
